Somehow this board has turned into a bunch of drama queens who don’t know frick about shite and they’re littering this board with their vaginal discharge. It’s gotten more disgusting in here than a 7-11 woman’s restroom. Either take out the trash or make me a mod and I’ll be happy to do it.

Literally we just witnessed one of the best bowl game coaching jobs of our lifetime. We were a 2.5 point favorite against a highly motivated team and we were missing a ton of players. We dominated up until the fumble with under 3 minutes to go. The fumble was unlucky and the onside kick recovery was unlucky. It was unlucky they even called it a fumble.

Instead of using any semblance of rational thought and recognizing the great coaching job for what it was and enjoying the win, we have absolute idiots on here bleeding all over the board.

THIS IS THE *SECOND TIME ARKANSAS HAS EVER WON BOWL GAMES IN BACK TO BACK YEARS.

Pretty good points.

One thing I'll say is that the onside kick wasn't just bad luck. That was poorly played. But understandable with how many guys we were missing

I'm curious what the reaction would have been if we trailed from whistle to whistle.

For the aforementioned reasons, I just did not have expectations going into this game.

Everyone here suffers from battered fan syndrome. That is simply part of the Arkansas fan experience.

We need every bit of momentum and positive development that we can get. Coming here and posting threads titled "frick our head coach" only undermine every bit of that. In what world can you expect loyalty from players when you are making a public display like this?

We were missing so many starters and scholarship players that before the game, basically everyone was predicting a loss. Some were even predicting a blowout loss because we were missing all our players and Kansas just "cared more".

Turns out that gaining that big lead was the worst possible thing for fan morale around here

It makes no sense. We should be more pissed at the dumbfrickery from the refs than anything. We were missing about 30 scholarship players we started the season with, something like 10 starters not including Rocket.

It's a minor coaching miracle we were competitive in this game to begin with, a pretty big coaching miracle that we dominated 90% of it with scrubs with no experience.

We just have a higher proportion of "FARR EVERYBODY!" tards around here, since our poster base is a little smaller. We have like 30-40 regular posters here, so when 5 of those are the type that hate the world even when we win, it makes it seem like those voices are louder and more common

if we had trailed from whistle to whistle I’d have been pissed and thought sam was not a very good coach (it’s fricking Kansas people.) if we had gotten a big lead and lost it I would also think there’s some issues with the coaching staff just not the same kind of issues as getting blown out by Kansas. It’s like saying just because Sam Pittman isn’t the absolute worst football coach Arkansas has ever had no one should criticize him. I mean should we really be proud that he’s better than chad morris and doesn’t get blown out by western kentucky and north Texas?

And let me clarify I like Sam, I’m glad he’s still here, I don’t think he’s a bad coach probably our best since petrino (again not saying much.) I’m just pointing out how weak the argument is that since we didn’t get blown out by Kansas or since he’s not as bad as chad hammer down morris we should just think he hung the moon. You can criticize his decision and still want the guy coaching your team.

A macrocosm of this was Petrino hitting the asphalt.

It created a mythology of expectations that were not based in reality.

I do think that the 12 team playoff will be a net positive for Arkansas. At minimum, we will have more opportunities to build capital by getting on the field with mediocre b1g teams.

If the roles were reversed last night and we came back from such a large deficit and won then everyone would be praising Sam for our fight and never give up attitude despite giving up almost the same amount of points but in the first quarter instead of the 4th. They all count the same.

Never seen so many Hog fans wanting coaches fired after a 7 win season which is about what we’ve averaged the entire time we’ve been in the SEC.

Every other fanbase we play calls our fans the worst and part of me is starting to agree with that. I love our passion but there’s just too much toxicity and hyperbole, constant bitching even after wins.

Blowing a 38-13 3rd quarter lead with 8 minutes to go is "great coaching"? JFC. Chad Morris did a number on people.

The point is this team has won some games in spite of some consistently ridiculously bad coaching decisions. And then lost some they had absolutely no business losing.

Sam and his staff deserve some credit for recruiting some pretty damn good players, and Briles for calling a damn good game but there were some ATROCIOUS mistakes that have plagued this team all year.

1) Had we lost, and we were 1 play away from doing so, it would have been a collapse on the level of Bert against VT which essentially got him fired. So not sure the uproar in folks being pretty pissed.

2) The punting game was absolutely absurd. There were 3-4 punts under 40 yards last night. How is that possible?

3) The onside kick. I don't care if you have 1 legged walk ons out there, its kiwanas football to catch the effing ball and sit on it.

4) The timeout management. What on earth was he doing sitting on 3 timeouts with 5 seconds left in the game? We didn't even sniff a FG with the ball, 3 timeouts and a minute to play. How is that possible?

You can't make some of this stuff up and its not crazy for fans to be pissed and discuss it vs shite pumping our team as "Liberty Bowl Champs".

It's as if he's getting more inept as time goes on vs what we hoped would be growth and adaption as he gained experience.

Fans seem to expect teams to keep scoring on the same level all game long when sports are mostly games of runs. Just because we had a hellacious first half offensively instead of in the second half doesn’t take away any of the points we scored. Kansas on the other hand did the opposite, and their fans aren’t nearly as upset when it was basically the exact same performance we had offensively. Very rarely do you see teams play a perfect game of football and stay on that level the entire game.

I get it though, we place more weight on the second half of games when all 4 quarters count. We had a deep ball to landers and that reverse late in the game so we at least tried to go for the knockout blow but if we had turned it over or something fans would be bitching even more.

those are the true idiots who should be disregarded. People who are “conservative” in sports are idiots. You should never change your gameplan. You should have a plan of how you call a game when it’s tied, when you are down by 1 score, when you are down 2+ scores and when you are ahead by 1 score, 2 scores and 2+ scores. You should never sit on the ball before the 4th Q. If you do, you’re asking to let them back in it. The goal of the game is to score and unless you’re up 40 or it’s late enough that you can end the game by kneeling 2/3 times, you should do everything in your power to score. Stop worrying about what MIGHT go wrong, have confidence in your players, scheme, coaches and just go for the fricking throat

Nope. Not at all.

Expect a $5M/year coach to be able to close out a game with a 25 point lead and 23 minutes left without having to go to overtime and avoiding multiple bone headed plays and blunders along the way to get there. I would have been ecstatic with a 38-30 win, hell even closer.

I'm glad we won but we were literally one play away from this ENTIRE board melting down.

Gaurantee HRV would have joined the melt or at least vanished like a fart in the wind had we blown the game.
