See that's what I keep saying, everybody says we were so much better before the SEC, after the motorcycle wreck, etc, etc. those things happened though, you can't change that. It's part of who we are as a program just as much as the good times.

Yes because we have idiots doing the hiring!

Coaching is what shapes the team we hired our problems and have for over 30 years.

I guess they’re more concerned about the budget than keeping up with the joneses. I’m not going to lose any sleep over it.

Maybe the big money is saving their dollars on the right hire to get the right talent for them. Makes sense to me.

For at least the last two years, this is 100% the case and I can say this with good authority.

I know many, many people in what would be considered prime NIL donator and legacy households who have given up until something changes. I'm talking about people who have spent their entire lives, as well as their parents' lives, grandparents, aunts and uncles being Razorback fans and alums with deep ties and deep pockets.

It's worse than you can even imagine. I rubbed elbows with players, coaching staff, board members, administrators, department heads at UA and their families for decades. I made a lot of friends and connections, as did everyone else in my family. I've never seen this much apathy and distancing of themselves from the program and university, even in the darkest times under the last couple years of Bert and Chad.

Every one of them is simply waiting for something to change. I liked Yurachek for a long time and thought he was a solid AD, he's not the most personable person when you meet him but he seemed to care and WANT success for UA athletics as a whole. I don't think he's a bad person or even a bad AD, just not the right fit for what we need. I've come to the opinion that he would be a much better fit for an Ivy league or a more academically aimed program that plays in a G5, Ivy, or military conference.

We need to clean house and start anew with some energetic efficiency leaning into the current landscape of CFB instead of fighting to keep it like it was - it's been proven it's never going back.

Its mind boggling that Arkansas cannot be at least as successful as Ole Miss or Auburn.

Auburn is surrounded by Alabama, Florida St, and Georgia. All of which more attractive places to play.

I think the expectation with the new SEC schedule should be averaging 8 wins a year with having the stars align and having a veteran team or a good portal class every 4-5 to have a shot at the playoffs.

I saw a good suggestion on Hogville.

Dan Mullen. Similar to Freeze, he will find himself back a major program sooner rather than later.

He has already proven he can win in the SEC with lesser resources and lesser talent.

Throw out the COVID year and Enos debacle and that’s what we are which is what people here were begging for when Chad was here. Just give us that!

I’m sure he is referencing regular season wins. With opt outs bowls are a glorified spring practice preview

Late to the Convo as I wasn't going to post while I was mad.
1. This started with HY and his stupid comments. He should be out the door. As the leader of our athletic dept there should be consequences for comments like that. True or not you don't publicly say your team isn't built to win. Time to go
2. I've been reluctant to say fire Sam.... but enough is enough... no killer instinct. between the NO CALL OPI and the absolute molesting of Blake that forced Green to run and then calling the TD back by calling Blake for a hold, he should have completely lost his crap on the officials.
at least show your team you care enough to fight for them. Light a fire under them. But he won't. He never has.
You are what you are at this point.
Those two plays were a 14 point swing and if they don't happen we aren't having this conversation today.
If we don't break the huddle with 12 OUT OF THE 2 MINUTE WARNING we probably aren't having this conversation anyway.

At this point I can't even phathom how we lose the next close game we are in.... I've seen it so many different ways now that nothing surprises me anymore.....

But we can't keep on doing it with no fight in us.

I saw us line up to a TE win with a 6 tech and a 50 LB and the closest thing to a leverage player was a SS 8 yds deep.... that's TERRIBLE defensive scouting and scheme.

WE HAVE TO DEMAND BETTER

You liked Yurachek? Mistake number 1. No, he is not personable and is smug as crap. Been around him several times, he is just unlikable and the smartest man in the room period. Arrogance amok! In private convo he stated 2 years ago, "5 year plan to retire, gotta get out of this" and laughed. Of course it was a joke, right? I mean it was following a few drinks, so...

Well... I would love to aid him on his way a bit earlier. and His intellect isn't build for military!

I think HY let's his arrogance get in the way of some common sense things that would have us in a lot better shape in football and maybe in other areas also... (NIL, etc.)

With a competent coach and AD we'll be able to compete with anyone ONCE they put the salary cap in place. That's going to happen. Then it's all about coaching and the GM.

He gambled that NIL would come and go due to regulation. He lost said gamble.
