Time to put last week's puzzling debacle in the mirror and start looking forward to the Gators.

I haven't watched more than a couple bits and pieces of their games and they play in a very weak east conference so I'm having a hard time gauging exactly how good they are. It seems like they have a solid defense with a middle of the road offense, but I'm clueless as far as their exact strengths and weaknesses on each unit. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than myself can fill us in...

I'm glad we had the bye to regroup after last week, and I'm glad this game is at home against a seemingly beatable opponent. Our will would be broken if we had to face a team like Bama after having our souls crushed by Aubie. I just hope we make some significant strides and changes with our 2 weeks of rest, or we could easily be looking at another tough loss. I also think Florida's attitude towards this game will hinge on how they fare against UGA today and what they have left to play for.

Their offense seems to be pretty lackluster, but we've made some lackluster offenses look great in the last two seasons. They seem to be a mostly pro style type team so that at least plays to Robb Smith's strength.

If our offense plays well and AA doesn't get hit too many times I like our chances.

Their offense is a better match up than auburns. Their defense will present a similar challenge. We maybe not win but it'll be closer just based upon their offensive style

The Florida Dline is stout. We will have trouble protecting AA. Hopefully he will be in shotgun most of the game.

Yeah they are gonna wreck our offense I'm afraid. Our only hope is Austin goes off. I agree that we will do better against Floridas O

Well today's sobering realization stings quite a bit upon reflection. We know we are bad on defense this year, but we trail a once great program that has fallen on hard times for the last thirty or forty years in total defense.

Army has the #3 ranked total defense in the country, and while they might drop a spot or two after their win over Wake Forest we will still probably trail them by about 80 spots since we are in the mid 80s.

Yes, they haven't played anyone, but Army doesn't have anyone either. They were smaller and slower then Wake Forest but they played smart assignment football, wrapped up most of their tackles, and weren't afraid to take risks while holding Wake Forest to 13 points.

I don't demand a top 5 defense but trailing Army by 80 spots? If we could play like Army played today we'd thump Florida by a couple of TDs.

Figuring Florida is going to bring pressure early and often. Hope we have figured out a way to counter that.

Our offensive line is tissue paper and our defensive front 7 plays with their eyes closed. What's there to discuss?

don't you love how our defensive scheme is designed to funnel the ball to our least amount of depth in the weakest position group on the team?

The Arky comfort zone:

Knowing we can't possibly suck any worse if Micky Mouse were HC.

their d line doesn't scare me as much as their secondary. it's lights out. WRs will not be getting open and sprinkle needs to show the hell up. Tabor and Wilson are first rounders

It looks like Allen is starting. I didn't see any other changes of note to the depth chart. It might be a long day, thankfully we had the bye, and the game is at home.

Wise is apparently dinged up and they put Winson at his spot with an OR with Wise.

Theres been some rumblings about *some* changes to the depth chart and schemes being kept secret until game time to keep UF "surprised" in a sense.

Don't know how much merit there is to these rumors, so don't shoot the messenger.
