Dint forget how shitty he was in the NFL, too.
FAU is really rhe obly.place where he started winning, except for one year at USC. He went 10–2, which I pretty good for a scholly reduction. He probably does deserve a bit of slack since half the time he was at USC, he was working under sanctions.

Also need to consider all of his "failures" happened when he was a HC in his 30's....and before his stint at Bama.

We could also not not run his name in the ground or get too excited about hiring him until we actually hire him.
Of course doing that would wipe out 90% of the chatter on message boards.
