Their receivers absolutely outplayed our secondary/linebackers

Our secondary sucked and we had 3 Turnovers as well as multiple dropped passes, a couple which would have extended drives and one (Knox on the wheel) that would’ve put us inside the red zone. We just have to execute better. The defense sucked early on because bumper pool is not/was not a good enough athlete to spy that qb. We had them in 2nd/3rd and long situations he’d drop back see nothing take off and bumper would get left with 2 broke ankles. That was the game In a nutshell

Also anyone who doesn’t believe Bobby wanted this game more than any other on his schedule is smoking crack

And they threw the ball 50 times and got a whopping 395 yards. They ran the ball 32 times and got 42 yards.

I swear we overreact way to much around here.

3 plays that kept this from being a blowout.

1. KJ Fumble
2. Rocket Fumble at the goal line
3. Wtf ever play Briles called on 4th & 9

We could have easily won that game 50-20 ish had we not been sleepwalking through the game.

Top 3 reasons this was closer than it should have been.

1) Turnovers

2) Missed tackles

3) Dropped passes

4 if you count the run up the middle on 4th and 9.

Offense didn't do our defense any favors tonight until the end.

cannot stress this enough. Which to me points to a lack of focus

The overreaction by most Hog fans is funny.

I listen to a few CFB betting podcasts and this week - Click ahead to the 57 minute mark

TLDL:
- Missouri State will threaten Arkansas in this game
- Missouri State is a top 5 potential national champion winner on the FCS level
- Went to Ok State last year and lost by 7, should've beat Ok State
- Went to ND State last year and lost by 7
- Missouri State is a team who brought 17 starters back from last year and added 10 FBS transfers (over 40 FBS transfers on the team)
- Petrino has program completely turned around
- Missouri State in FCS playoffs two years in a row previous 30 years ZERO
- Go look at Arkansas' next 5 games
- Coming off SEC win and Cincinnati
- Next 5 weeks A&M neutral, Alabama at home, @ MSU, @ BYU, @ Auburn is it a joke, 4 of next 5 on the road too
- Already dealing with a ton of injuries, can't stop a nosebleed, no Jalen Catalon
- Missouri State has one of best FCS WR in the country

Not sure I’d say they outplayed us, but they definitely out-coached us and out-schemed us.

3a. Bobby Petrino. No other FCS team, no MOST, does this without Bobby Petrino v the Hogs.

This is why I still don’t understand why we sold out on that 4th and 1. We had stopped them from running all game.

Sam said they were outplayed and outcoached by Bobby.

He seemed stressed out from this game.

No lies detected.

BP is incredible at identifying a team's weaknesses and attacking them. Would be an incredible OC.

Well he's pretty demonstrably wrong on the first part. Outcoached I could give him.

Coaches are usually overly complimentary of the opponents in post game pressers, particularly Sam.

When it comes down to it this was the difference between at 20+ win vs an 11 point win.

That isn't some excuse for it not being a terrible game by us. We are a type of team that really has to win the turnover battle and stay within 7 as we won't play that well from behind against great teams.

This is a great wake up call for some of the players/coaches and fans before a tough stretch of games.

I never thought we were a top ten team but imo college football as a whole is down except for the top tier.

They are and Sam said he needs to do a better job. I was at the game, 17-0 and fans were starting to get angry.

To be honest, we were outcoached because the better Xs and Os coach was standing on the away team's sideline. It's not really surprising or flukey.

And yet the sanctimonious usual suspects who operate in highsight and bad faith will lecture everyone the morning after about how our fan base overreacted and how the outcome was never in doubt last night.

While there are guys like ArmyHogs who embarrassingly diarrhea all over the Scoreboard forum, IMO the ones who retroactively moralize and lecture and try to act like they never had a doubt and were cool as Wooderson in Dazed and Confused are worse. Our fan base sure has plenty of those.
