JWill invited to NBA combine

This is not a good sign for a return to Arkansas.
NBA guy was on Drive Time today and he said this basically means he's a top 60 player in the minds of NBA organizations, and, if he gets drafted at all, he would bet he leaves.
He said that any draft pick at all is going to make above league minimum+incentives ($1.2M), and will get the best development he needs for the league.
Also said that, even if he has to go the G-League if he signs a one-way rookie contract, he will still make his NBA salary.
Said Jaylin needs to bulk up and show he can shoot off the pick and roll at the combine and that will make his stock rise. Also said his vertical will be key, because he didn't show much of that part of his game while taking all those charges.
Now, he may want to come back and show he can do those things one more year at Arkansas and naturally bulk up over the next year, but, if his offensive and defensive percentages drop even a little bit, it could really affect his draft stock.
If he comes back, you can bet the Hunt Foundation ponied up big time.

Looking more and more like JWill leaves, we pick up Ricky Council and someone either transfers or we find a creative way to keep them on

Nothing to see here. He was always expected to go to the combine. There's always a bunch of top guys that don't go bc they dont wanna risk falling. Plus, the top European guys that are drafted each year don't participate. There's a bunch more that participate in combine than actually get drafted.

Let's say Jaylin goes and we land Council, which seems highly liey at this point.
What's the Starting 5??
NSJ - G
Black - G
Council - G
Walsh - F
Brazille/Graham - F
Bench - Twins, Devo, D. Ford, Pinion?
At worst, there are probably 9 guys that can play real minutes.

Yeah we knew he was going to the combine when he declared.
I've still only ever heard that 2nd rd grade he returns. And it looks like he's mid 2nd still. Would take quite the combine to shoot into first round.

Yep, this really doesn’t change much.
The more concerning thing is reports of his team not responding to NIL requests but that also doesn’t necessarily anything right now. Seems to me it’s like 60/40 of him leaving.

I don’t think there was ever much doubt that he would be top 60

I think this is most telling.

Also don't feel that we'd be hosting as many players as we have if Muss felt great about him staying.

Just a reminder that Mike Qualls was also invited to the NBA draft combine

I can't blame him if he goes. Even a couple of years in the NBA as a role player followed by meandering around Europe would put him in the live comfortably to a ripe old age on your earnings category.
Personally I think he should stay, unless he gets a really nice offer, because he could improve on some things and bulk up a bit.

No but the longer this drags on the unlikely the odds he will be back.

It’s not dragging on, the whole point was to go through the process and see what feedback he gets. No reason for him to make a decision until the deadline

Maybe people just aren't familiar with how the NBA has changed things recently.
