Not a great thing to happen to us but not a "the world has ended loss" either.
You have to think it was changes in the coaching staff or he thought he'd wind up holding the short straw on the DL this year with new players coming in.
Best of luck to him if he does wind up leaving.

Did it ever come out what was wrong with dude? Is he schizophrenic or something?

this is a stupid decision for this kid... and many others.
The portal is getting overworked to the point kids are finding themselves without scholarships and sunk in debt by walking on, or giving up college alltogether. Crap!

Gonna be a lot of kids learning that honoring their commitment would have been the better option rather than leaving at the first sign of opposition. Not saying there aren't kids that have a legit reason to transfer, but it's definitely not all or even most of them.

Do we know if LeBlanc was actually fired or did he leave on his own?
So much hype was behind that guy and it seems it was kind of a big dud of a hire.

Coates looks like he's got the tools, but he seems to act like he can't quite keep it between the ditches.

He was fired according to the 247 folks. All of them were let go due to recruiting, it sounds like.

Yes. In the rush for everyone to get that 'first round money's their incredibly shortsighted decisions end up costing these kids big. But they get to follow the coach who recruited them or get some precious playing time.
Here's a hint, if you have to transfer to play, you probably aren't getting drafted unless it's a Hurts situation. In that case, just get a degree and move on. Most of these kids better plan on a real job, instead it's all about the 0.0001% chance of millions. Same as kids with travel ball parents, give up the dream
On the other hand, playing the last year somewhere else after you've graduated I 100% support

It's surprising to me more kids don't pursue coaching. If you stay on a team for 5 years and graduate, the coaches would almost certainly take you on as a graduate assistant.
