My uneducated position on the lack of this team's football success is that it's down to no accountability.

We may not be stacked with talent, but there's enough there to do better than 6-6. There's no self-discipline from the members of this team, illustrated by the many mental mistakes and turnovers. Clean those up, and we are looking at a far better record.

I don't recall seeing anyone getting their butts chewed for turning over the ball, or seeing anyone ride the bench for their poor performance. It's a bit reminiscent of Hooten's 'grab arse' tenure, in my view.

I’m with you here. I think having guys like Grant Morgan and Hayden Henry did a lot to whip guys into shape sam’s first couple years. They weren’t the best players, but they cared about the hog (it actually matters when it’s players not coaches) and would hold teammates accountable for dumb frick ups

Agreed... we lack that one in-state kid that gets it..... the Hog means more to him.... and he holds his teammates accountable to it.
Was hoping Satenga was that dude... doesn't seem like it.

I don’t believe this is applicable anymore. Pride should be distilled in them as through lack of financial future gains. No one wants to draft a kid off a shite team with a loser mentality.

But if you believe that’s important, Kane Archer could have been that dude. A leader from Arkansas, but we have 2 qb commits from his class and neither are him.

Arkansas not recruiting Kane is so dumb. Kane will probably go somewhere and wreck shop on the hogs. Fully expect walker white to do it with auburn next year too. Arkansas is so dumb

I was at the Greenwood/Shiloh Christian game earlier in the year to watch Kane Archer play.

I didn't get to watch him play because some a-hole Shiloh player went helmet to helmet and knocked him out long after he threw a pass. Very dirty play.

No ejection.

The best QB that I have seen play this year was Jeff Regan of Rogers.

He is an Arkansas baseball commitment but I wish he would do punt and kickoff returns that Stategna sucks so bad at.

You are overestimating the amount of true SEC level talent the state produces.

It can certainly produce more if the high school level wasn't so poorly coached and player development wasn't so bad.

Pretty sure he didn’t box checking. America first right now, would be a sell out like Crenshaw.
