HY set up the contract for bonuses to start at 6 wins.

Then gave the guy a raise.

Consistently......peaking at 7 wins after not making a bowl before is better than chaggy but still not acceptable. 6 is the floor or should be. Accepting less is accepting a bad coach. Pittman is a bad coach, you can tell in a few different ways like penalties, game management, donation earning, roster management, consistent drama amongst players, etc.

We want 6 wins as the floor with potential for bigger seasons every 4ish years. That's historically who we are....

we could beat the brakes off Texas and then turn around and lose by 40 to a stupendously average at best Missouri.

We basically did that very thing in 2022 when we beat the shite out of Ole Miss (it was 42-7 in the 3rd quarter) and then lost to a 5-6 Mizzou team the very next week that wasn’t good.

The inability to handle success and refocus a team after a win is a hallmark of the Pittman era.

I can't, and won't, argue with you.

I don't hate Pittman like some folks do, I'm glad he pulled the program out of the dumpster that Choad left it in, but this is his ceiling. It doesn't matter who his coordinators are. It doesn't even matter how much talent his teams have.

Pittman is who he is. Give him a pat on the back, send him to his luxury lake home, and let Sam make appearances around the state.

We are stuck in neutral right now.

He’s not the only coach we’ve had who exhibited that trait. Since the 60s I’ve seen this and it’s almost like it’s meant to be for our program.

I’m not making excuses just making an observation. I believe no team takes us for granted so we’ll get a good effort from whoever we play and there’s no day off. We have a reputation historically of knocking teams off we have no business beating and opposing coaches stress that I would imagine.

Maybe we’ve historically overachieved for the most part until recently. Oh, just thinking realistically out loud.

Its not that I'm satisfied....its that I think a coaching search is the last thing this program needs right now.

We need Ole Miss type NIL Money. There's really nothing horribly wrong with PIttman and Petrino is a master with talent.

We won't likely get it...we'll end up going 7-5 this year, keeping Pittman. Fans will act like typical Arkansas fans and complain 100 times more than they donate...and we'll rinse and repeat the mediocrity of the past 25 years.

Ole Miss has lost two games already and likely to lose another this Saturday.

Arkansas needs an upgrade in coaching not more money to waste.

And they are doing it with more money and what is considered a much better coach. Maybe we just play in an extremely tough conference.

THis argument that we "need a better coach" without the money is ridiculous to me. C'mon folks... Good Lord!

Pittman has shown over and over he can hang with Lane with the save talent, or even perhaps a bit less. Look at the recruiting rankings, look at the results until this season. THis season, Ole miss hit the jackpot by going all in on NIL...

Our fans man, Unbelievably stupid. I am NOT saying keep pittman, but I also don't expect much different results without a massive upgrade in NIL and Promotion. If I blame anyone, it is HY... not the coaches.

I'm assuming you mean head to head. Pittman is nowhere near kiffens success as a coach...

41–17
is kiffens record at ole miss.....

28–29

Sam Pittman's record at Arkansas.....

Agreed

I don't think anyone is saying beat Alabama every year but Oklahoma State bad team.... Liberty was also not a great team comparatively....Pittman can't help but drop ooc games and is barely .500 let's stop acting like a he's been anything but meh...
