How in the holy frick did that team only win 7 games?? The Bama should've been win and the dismantling of Texas, LSU, and Ole Miss were not some fluke, that team was legit stacked...NFL starters, a couple possible pro bowlers, and future NFL players everywhere.

Trey Flowers - Patriots leading sacker and best D Lineman
Hunter Henry - probably future pro bowler
AJ Derby - Denvers #1 TE
Martrell Spaight - Redskins starting MLB
Darius Philon - spot starter/backup for Chargers
Alex Collins - Seahawks 3rd down back
Denver Kirkland - Raiders 6th OL
Jonathan Williams - Bills backup RB
Brandon Allen - Jags backup QB
Jeremy Sprinkle - future NFL TE, probably a 2nd or 3rd rounder
Drew Morgan - future NFL receiver, Julian Edelman replacement
Tevin Mitchell - Colts practice squad
Keon Hatcher - will get drafted

Yea that team was fun to watch. It was BB's best team here. Jim Chaney and the late game choke jobs that have become typical of BB teams prevented it from winning the amount of games it should have.

ETA: the air forcing Kody Walker to fumble before crossing the goal line against Bama still hurts.

but yea, as with most things there are multiple factors

chaney, lack of experience in the system, they didn't seem to figure out their style till the ole miss game then they finally figured out who they were and what the coaches were trying to accomplish, 5 of the 6 teams we lost to were in the top 10 while mizzou was ranked #17, dak was still at missstake, every game we lost but bama was on the road.

I think a big issue was the team didn't know how to win/close out games early in the season. We only won 3 games in 2013.

There was a lot of talent on that team but a lot of those players developed after that year. Could be saying the same thing in a few years about some young players we have now.

I just wish we could have combined 2014's defense and 2015's offense

We win a championship with that combination.

Because we hired a more losing version of Houston Nutt.

Dude couldn't even figure out how to win with the SEC talent he was given. Even Nutt was able to do that.

Chaney blah blah. He hired the guy and let him do his thing. It's on him 100%.

I'm pretty sure that you are embellishing some of this to help your agenda...

In hindsight.. the 2014 Hogs had considerably less talent than most teams they faced that season.

I see 2 NFL starters from that team. Spaight and Flowers.

Derby took over the starting spot after injury.

Spaight isn't a starter... he started last night due to an injury.

It took BA a while to figure out he was a good QB. Once he did it was night and day.

Googled him just now to get an update on how he's doing since I haven't been paying attention, and GOOD GOD the dude has turned into a freak of nature

So did Tom Brady. The similarities are uncanny.
