I didn’t follow his career thoroughly, is this a personality thing people don’t like?

His record would have him extended and praised here. His recruiting classes were:

2017 - 25
2018 - 3
2019 - 3
2020 - 9

I am positive money, brand and home helps, but he would have a statue for that.

It’s his personality. His profile really isn’t much different than Kiffin. People hated Kiffin too when he left USC just like Herman. They’d get past it once he starts winning here just like Kiffin is a god in Oxford now.

It's not going to matter who we hire until everybody starts sending enough money (most haven't sent any) to buy the kind of players we need to compete. Bottom line.
The recruiting game has changed.
So, get out your checkbooks, folks.

They'll be so fricked when he bails for a better job

we keep saying this, year after year...

But we are fricked now, have been fricked a while, and didn't even get kissed first.

Wouldn't you rather?

BMFP is a count, but I’d take him to not have left…

Bama hasn’t opened, but with his daughter there, I assume he is there for at least 4 years.

Yeah I’m past the point of caring if our coach is a likable guy. I just want to win and don’t care how we do it or what any of our fans think about it.

BMFP would drag his balls through broken glass from College Station to here to be named the HC. I'd jack off a grizzly burr with cockle burrs to get him back.

yes, perhaps.... But, his recruiting was going to crap and fast. So, only if we were very serious about Nil would it work imo

You mean when he had some of the best all around offensive talent this school ever had and didn’t win a championship?

What do you expect he would do with less talent which was his future.

Three to four more years then fired as usual.

It’s hilarious that a motorcycle wreck made him a friickin legend….haha

I don't know but those 2014 and 2015 teams were pretty talented.

He would go back to back 10 win seasons with both teams.

Instead got Berted away.

Not go 0-8 in 2013.

No one in the West was going to beat Bama and Saban consistently but Arkansas wouldn't have such an embarrassing losing streak to them.

Here is what would have happened had he not been fired.

2012 8-4
2013 8-4
2014 10-2
2015 10-2
2016 8-4
2017 7-5
2018 8-4
2019 8-4
2020 7-3
2021 10-2
2022 10-2

Haha, sure pal….haha.

Ask Louisville about that…haha.

Petrino dominoed here for his two years and would have crashed either on that Harley or his future lack of talent. He’s a hero to you because he never had to fail here. He went 5-7 here as well but no one talks about that.

He was a flash in the pan, like Holtz, but ducked the inevitable. Screw that guy.

his recruiting was on a major downward spiral prior to hitting the skids, with the scud...

20th 2009
41st 2010
21st 2011
27th 2012

now, here is the caveat... The amount of players who we lost to attrition/left, skidaddled, quit, got canned, whatever... it was a bunch following the 2010 season.

He would have had the Louisville act here, if not the swan song skid first...

He would have recruited no better or less than Bert, Chad and Pittman.

However what makes him superior was his stronger work ethic, game management, player development to the highest degree and attention to detail.

That is what Arkansas football is missing.
