it you mean the air raid which utilizes receivers and an accurate quarterback with every snap from the shotgun? What type of recruits would be different for that style of offense va the guy Morris is recruiting? Just because leach makes it work with 3 star qbs and 5’8 white boys catching the ball doesn’t mean it can’t work if you give him a bunch of studs. Imagine if leach stepped in during burks and Knox junior year with Jefferson or chandler Morris being redshirt freshman and sophomore. We would have a 4 star qb and an assload of 4 star receivers that leach would have a field day. Along with one of the most athletic defenses mike has ever had to compliment him. I could easily see that going like nutts first year where we win 8 or 9 out of the gate year 1

Difference is Bert's first couple teams were a lot more competitive than what we've seen from Chad.

Bert was the first coach to give us a 0-8 SEC record in his first season too. He was 2-14 in SEC play and finished 7th both of his first two seasons.

Look, Morris wasn't my first choice. I would have backed the truck up for the coach at Iowa State and made him say no. Then I would have gone after Norvell. We hired Morris instead. He is recruiting well and he, at the very least, deserves time to turn it around.

I like him but our fans wouldn't be happy about a coach going into 3 OTs against an FCS team in year 4 either though

Both he and Leach only had one more win than Morris in their first years. Unless you're a top 5-10 coach in college football, every coach is going to have a few warts.

Campbell is holding out for a much better job than Arkansas too. You can’t just hire anyone of your choosing as they do have to actually want to accept the job as well. I think many fans struggle with this concept.

But he’s proven he can build a program up twice. Look at where he’s taken wazzu and they are a perennial bottom feeder and he’s still getting 8 9 wins a season now

Wazzu isn't in the SEC west though.

Didn’t you hear, we were dead last in recruiting in the West.

Blowouts galore, both with narrow losses to A&M

Just give it up man, you know I'm right. Bert's first team would have beat Chad's first team by 40 easily, look at how both teams finished the season.
