The “chipping away” part was them reducing our lead to 14. The game should have been over but Sam wanted to get aggressive, which you’re sitting here crying about him not doing, and ran a reverse and the refs called a non-fumble a fumble. That put our paper thin D held together by walk ons and duct tape back out on the field and we know what happened after that.

Point is Sam’s conservative strategy was a winning strategy last night no matter how much you want to cry about it.
