In an exclusive interview with KATV, new Arkansas Director of Athletics Hunter Yurachek said he will consider more than just financials when determining the future of Razorback games in Little Rock.

quote:

"It's not just a decision about the University of Arkansas and our football program. I think this impacts our entire state and a variety of constituents," he said. "If it was just a decision based on dollars and cents, it's an easy decision for a director of athletics to make here at the University of Arkansas. But there's a lot more that goes into this decision than just pure dollars and cents."

quote:

He said there is no timetable to make a decision and he is currently asking questions and listening to parties involved. The Razorbacks will play their Red-White Spring Game at War Memorial Stadium on April 7, then host Ole Miss at War Memorial on October 13th. The game will be part of the 70th anniversary season of the stadium, which opened in 1948.

quote:

Yurachek touches on a number of other topics in the interview, including his family and his expectations for coaches. "We want to win championships, not just in the SEC but national championships," he said.

Who apparently get to have their cake and eat it too. During the coaching search all we heard was "Don't complain about the GOB, they are the ones writing the checks for the 7mil/yr coach coming in. Well, we ended up shopping at Dollar General for a coach and these assholes blew up the Athletic Department to get what they wanted and it cost them half what everyone was told.

If we start winning a lot, count me as not caring if the games stay in little rock.

Winning cures all

I would rather play a Little Rock game than in Dallas. A&m game should go back to campus, end the jerry contract now.

A lot of the knock on LR is the stadium which I understand but for some time I’ve wanted them to big domed stadium like our Verizon version but much larger. It would of course be a multi-use facility but would be great for whatever games they would play in LR.

It would probably never happen and I think the cost for domed stadiums is about a billion plus dollars now.

I am sure Atlanta's stadium is nice but it is hideous.

It's funny how some people want to renovate and spend money on a god awful stadium in the worst part of our state while using TAX MONEY but then they turnaround and bitch about our self funded renovations on campus.

hmmm....

My First ever Razorback game was the Miracle on Markham II. Little Rock games and the tailgating experience there hold a special place in my heart. I want games to keep being played there, good ones too.

If they do play games at WMS, then they should at least make it a SEC game. Some of the games played there the last few seasons were ridiculous.

I don't care of they play in LR or not, but if they do then it should at least be a good opponent.

I don't care what he says. I just care what he does.
