Are we looking at a committee or hiring a new AD that will hire one? Will we get credible leaks soon?

Y'all should hire Kiffykins. He's the one guy out there who might be able to get some big time players from other states up to NWA. I don't want him at a job where he doesnt feel like he needs to use twitter get attention.

Pardon my ignorance but who and the hell is this? I've seen it pop up like 10 times today.

I'm curious if we'll have an AD in place to conduct the search and make the hire. Hiring a coach without an athletic director could be a disaster. That thought was the only thing that made me think that retaining Long might not be such a bad thing.

Probably Norvell. I expect we will lose him waiting on Gus' decision especially if he beats Bama.

End up with third or fourth choice.

We have to let the new AD make the hire. Otherwise they will have no ownership when the new coach invariably sucks

My sauces are few and far between, but here are the presumed plans:

A - make Malzahn say no until he files a restraining order. This plan falls apart quickly if he beats Bama.
B - go after the likes of Gundy or Campbell.
C - hire Norvell, provided he hasn’t already been scooped up.

I think Gus is out if he beats Bama.

He’ll be facing a Georgia team in the SECCG that he already obliterated last week, and a victory might elevate them into the playoff. An SEC Championship and playoff appearance would give him a ton of leverage against Auburn for more money and a lengthy extension.

The issue is whether our GOBN will try to wait him out (and potentially get played in the long run) or move on.

This is what concerns me. We will try to wait Gus out and suddenly find that in the game of musical chairs we were the one that is left standing there with our thumb up our behind.

We are, in essence, leaving our next coaching hire up to what another team does.

Thankfully, Tennessee is going to waste plenty of time wooing Gruden, Florida seems to be set on making a big name hire, and I think Norvell is smart enough to know OM is career suicide right now, especially when the sanctions are announced in a couple weeks.

So, may Uncle Jeriah will step in and make the correct hire, the Norvell hire for us. This is exactly like choosing between Tuberville and Nutt and these fricking morons on dead set on Nutt and puppet AD...
