It's not likely but would love to see Derby get drafted. It sucks that he got hurt at his workout. That probably ensured him going as a FA pickup.
Fingers crossed the Broncos snag him.

Absolutely hate this fall for Flowers. Such a good guy.

Yeah, not sure what the deal is. Must have interviewed poorly.

It seems like every pro sports team these days drafts on potential and measurables way too much.
Nothing against Danielle Hunter, but he had 1.5 sacks last year and goes ahead of Flowers because of his H-W-S combo. If you can play you can play IMO

philon probably ccost himself 2-3 million by going pro this year . i hope it was worth it. he woudl have been a virtual first round lock next year in this defense

Philon must have gotten some absolutely terrible advice from his people. Bielema seemed very disappointed in his decision and I don't think it was because he was worried about our team. He strikes me as a guy that will honestly tell a kid to go pro if they rate out at a certain level even if it means it's detrimental to his team. Obviously Philon didn't get that type of feedback and completely disregarded it.

Surprised at the fall for the Hogs in this draft. Some team will pick up some good players in the late rounds.

Bert's going to have plenty of first and second rounders in the very near future. Hang in there.

They didn't get the hype of others in the draft.
Hype has a lot to do with the draft, for most teams, its like recruiting rankins, except you get to choose of what is there, not try to get what is there to choose you.
Bad franchises and bad GMs will go for the hype as it creates the "big splash" of the draft, which leads to excitement of merch sales, ticket sales, media buzz, etc leading to increased revenue in the short term.
The Patriots and Steelers rarely "win draft day" by taking guys who guys like Mayock can only talk about their "value" at that pick, yet they have been consistently good for a decade plus.
Then you have teams like the Titans this year who took Mariotta at #2, why? If Mettenburger is their future? Was the QB position the reason they were good enough to earn the #2 pick or did they have other issues that lead to this? Was it some bizarre events that lead to them being so bad record wise, but good enough to use their top pick on a back up QB?
Or the Browns last year giving away so much to move up to get JFF? Was he the answer to their franchise long QB struggles? No, but they did sell a shite load of #2 jersies and merch before the first kick off...

We haven't had a first round pick since Petrino took over recruiting.
That will change in the near future, we will have plenty of O-linemen going in the first round.

Absolutely. I was hoping he would land there or Pitt.
