I had even told folks on the USC board I wouldn't be surprised what with finals being around the corner if the game didn't draw a big house. Never have I been so happy to be so utterly wrong. Just a great crowd and what an atmosphere!

We had a good team all last year too and still never sold out. If you think the one night we do is also the night we're introducing the new football coach is coincidence, you're delusional.
Don't get me wrong, I know we as a fanbase are perfectly capable of packing Bud strictly out of basketball fandom, but that hasn't been the case until extremely recently. We've all noted on here how the Bud hadn't felt as intimidating as it was in the past. Tonight was different and I think a lot of that can be attributed to the energy and excitement Morris and his hire brings. Obviously it won't take much for this kind of support for the basketball team to continue without Morris involved, as I stated above.

Thinking the basketball game sold out because of Chad Morris is delusional.
This was also the first weekend game since the majority of the state was able to see the team against top competition in the PK80, and it just happened to be a highly ranked team, not a good-decent mid-major with little name recognition on the front of their jerseys.

Presentation of the game was much better IMO. Not a ton of ads and crowd killers during timeouts tonight. The Palace was rocking.

Not sure why you two are so asshurt at the very idea of someone being at the game because of the added incentive of seeing the coach announced playing a role in tonight's spike in attendance. Is this a personal trigger?
