To be fair, I think if you are honest most will say we went way further than any of you expected.
At the beginning of the season: we were picked 6th

Definitely further than we thought at the end of January: hell there was a fire Muss thread.

Way further - most fun season in 20 something years. I loved this team- even Notae who I probably picked at a little too much.

At the end of January I thought we were a bubble team max. I have absolutely zero complaints with this year.

I never thought Muss had all the pieces to the puzzle to make the elite 8.

What a great job recruiting and coaching

We had a good draw until the elite eight. This team probably doesn't make it this far in the other regions. But we caught some breaks and went farther than we should have.

I mean, maybe, but Tech was a pretty tough draw

They are a solid team but I liked that matchup better than deal with some of the PAC-12 teams in the earlier rounds.

Talking heads were suggesting a possible Sweet 16 at the start of the season, and that was their best possible scenario, so we definitely exceeded expectations. Many fans from other schools were surprised that we even made a game of it last night, so expectations are growing.

Or had we been given a 2 seed and Houston’s draw we’d be in the final four.

I don't agree.

We turned the ball over 15 times and baylor, the top 3P shooting team in the country, had to have one of their best shooting nights of the year, and we still had a chance to win that game with 6-7 minutes left to play.

Had we drawn Illinois or Michigan, we are likely in the final four

In hindsight maybe, but before staring down Tech and Ohio State on paper was one of the hardest possible draws IMO
