Liberty was 6-6 last season and will probably be 7-5 this season.
Here are their wins:
Buffalo (6-5)
Hampton (5-6 FCS)
New Mexico (2-8)
NM State (1-9)
Maine (6-5 FCS)
UMASS (1-9)
They still have to play Virginia this weekend and then have a second matchup with that 1-9 NM State team. That's not exactly a turnaround. He may be successful there with some time but beating up on a bunch of bad FBS/FCS teams isn't something I'm going to jump out of my seat about. I'd be pretty upset if Arkansas hired him.

Yeah, sorry. Not selling my soul for a good football team. Not turning my back on decency, throwing away my principles, nor encouraging anyone else to do so.
Maybe what's wrong with our fanbase is thinking that being a decent to successful head coach, and not being a walking piece of shite are mutually exclusive.
Just because many of the successful coaches these days are trash human beings, doesn't mean it's a requirement.

This isn't church league basketball. Pretty much every coach at this level is egotistical, and when you combine that with the money they're making, stuff like that can happen. I don't necessarily want Freeze, but it's not because I think he's a piece of shite.

It's not one or the other. Paying players doesn't offend my "principles" - covering up rape does. I've been pretty consistent with saying I don't want Briles. I have no issues with someone hiring prostitutes or paying players, though.

Yeah well, I'm one of those old fuddy-duddy Christians, and doing the things he was doing, while quoting scripture and professing himself to be a Christian is a bit too much for me.
That doesn't make me perfect, and it doesn't make my sins any less egregious than his, or anyone else. But it does make the man unethical as all hell, and not someone I would hire to work for me.

So, a good year or two maybe, is worth not seeing a Razorback game on tv for a year or two, no bowl games for a year or two, no telling how many reductions in scholarships over how many years, all for what are ultimately vacated wins.

I literally just said I didn’t necessarily want him. Part of that reason is that the NCAA would be breathing down our necks - not because he hired prostitutes or payed players. My issue with him is that he got caught, not the “offenses” themselves.

Freeze would win. I would have swallow the holy roller bullshite and the beaver face, but if the dude checks virtually all of the boxes needed for an Arkansas coach.

That's because where your lines are drawn isn't understandable. Both the Briles and Freeze hires would result in the near death of an already struggling program, should either go back to their previous ways. But one is acceptable to you, one is not.
You post in advocacy of hiring coaches of highly questionable character in pursuit of wins, knowing full well that those very wins may very well be vacated, the University shamed, with sports writers and talking heads shite talking everyone in Arkansas with "I told you so", after having already handing out a heaping helping of shite when we hired the coach in the first place.
You rightly place victim status with the women who were attacked, but fail to recognize the victimhood of the kids who won't get a scholarship to play ball at Arkansas because of scholarship reductions. You completely dismiss the victimhood of fans, who would do the bulk of the suffering upon drastic NCAA sanctions.
