Dude, you are looking foolish with such a rant.

Anybody with an ounce of intellect, knows that the sec is difficult path period. Our strength of schedule with Bama, LSU, TAMU, etal... will be high regardless. We, like most other SEC teams schedule a few lower tier competitors for a reason, WINS... and to prep for the more difficult match ups. Schedules are made years in advance, when Michigan bought out their game with us, it left us looking for an opponent with an open date that would work with our schedule. Very little was available. We already pay close to a million per to these lower tier programs to play us. It isn't as if Arkansas was the only one doing this.

I for one am thankful that CCM will get an easier path to begin with, since the program is on complete overhaul with change in philosophy, recruiting, coaching staff etc.

all of that to say... DEAL WITH IT!

Exactly. Huge waste of money. Especially when we lose to them anyway

Well if they jump off a bridge, we should to. Also, lots of schools mix in a quality opponent or two. Or at least play a shite in state school for some local interest

We play so few quality games in Fayetteville. Why do 20-30% of them have to be shitty?

This year will be the first time in at least a decade that we haven't played a P5 opponent OOC.

2017 - TCU
2016 - TCU
2015 - Texas Tech
2014 - Texas Tech
2013 - Rutgers
2012 - Rutgers
2011 - Texas A&M
2010 - Texas A&M
2009 - Texas A&M
2008 - Texas
2007 - maybe the last time
2006 - USC
2005 - USC

Suck it up and enjoy the games Fayetteville gets because LR is going to be getting at least one marquee opponent for the foreseeable future with our boosters. As piofeet says LR>NWA

Guess Arkansas couldn't snag one of the opening weekend neutral site games one of the years. :/

Under .500 last five years and coming off a 4-8 season isn’t what the suits look for on opening weekend.

I'm not concerned about the past. If I was, I would be depressed as a Hog fan

Colorado State - September 14
San Jose State - September 21
Western Kentucky - November 9

Looks like it will be at least 2020 before we do it again, and that will be a loss to Notre Dame

well yea, because Michigan cancelled our series. I'm not even sure what you're arguing / melting about.

We are, from what I read, playing Western Kentucky on their home court... in basketball.

Western Kentucky coming here for a football game? Well other then Arkansas State we've had damn near every other Sun Belt team here at some point in time.

Going on the road to Western Kentucky isn't a bad deal. Hopefully its something that will give that team some seasoning as far as on the road games.

It will be when we likely lose that one.

It’s basketball. It’s common to travel with home and home series.

We aren’t going to WKU to play football, only basketball.

Western Kentucky is in Confernce USA (C-USA). Comparing C-USA to Sun Belt would be like comparing the NFL to 2A football in Arkansas.

I don't disagree, but this has been a very weird decade for Hog fans. '10 and '11 were amazingly competitive. '12, '13, and '17 were record breaking bad. And we still could have beaten them last year, I bet. It's a series that would be lopsidedly in our favor.

We'd have beaten them in '14, '15, and '16 for sure. I honestly think last year could have been a coin toss, but only '13 do I think we would have had a high probability of losing. Keep in mind post-Malzahn and Freeze, Arkansas State has been a fairly middling G5 team. 7 or 8 wins in the SBC, typically. Even in our shittiest year, we were vastly more talented, but the transitional nature of 2013 (and 2012, but that's not Bert) I think would have been too much to overcome

Rutgers was technically G5 in 2013, being relegated to the AAC before the B1G picked them back up.
