That team would have beaten this team.

Nowadays with the portal and nil you can flip a roster overnight unlike the old days. Look what Indiana did in year 1 with cignetti. Now I’m not expecting that but at least good enough to not have to leave the starters in 4 quarters against north Alabama

Arkansas has got worse talent from the portal than they did before the portal.

Our old archnemesis... turnovers and dumb penalties kept North Alabama in that game. We didn't play fantastic but if we handle the ball and don't do stupid things the Hogs probably would have played the backups in the 4th quarter.

That is a major concern. Last year it destroyed Petrino's shot at winning the job full time. This year, with this schedule, the potential is there for it to be even worse. Silverfield and his staff have to clean this up fast or we are heading into Chad Morris territory.

I've never seen the first string pulled after the third quarter on offense against these opponents. Maybe the final series or two for the back up qb to hand the ball off until time expires.

What I have seen is the first string defense left on the field the entire time because they had to be.

They rotated in the entire depth chart throughout the game including the first half on defense. Third string lbs and lbs in the field in the first half and throughout the game. They rotated in WRs, TEs and HBs on offense throughout the game.

You guys are comparing to a second year qb who made and NFL roster in the same offense with NFL skill players and linemen surrounding him in the second year in a system. With all of that, this years starting qb still didn't see meaningful time against the similar opponent last season.

I've never been on board with the silverfield hire, but the complaints are ridiculous when petrino did the same shite the last two seasons neither of which were good seasons. I know it's always someone else's fault than his.

Nobody said it wasn’t his fault. He was ultimately fired for it. The problem is he wasn’t the head coach until the ship was already sinking, yet he was held accountable for last year like it was entirely his team.

Then, to top it off, they fired him and spent an enormous amount of money to bring in a well below average AAC coach. There is zero logic in that, but people are bending over backward to say it was a good idea. It wasn’t. Keeping BP would’ve been much better

He would still have issues with a horrible defense and not able to get talent on campus.

Sure about that? That’s a guess at best

Yes, Petrino has never assembled a roster with talent issues or bad defenses.

In fact Petrino led programs are known for two things. Defense and long term stability.

bullshite. Taylen Green put up 70 in his first start ever as a Razorback in his and Petrino's first year here.

Both Singleton and KJ Jackson combined for 14 pass attempts in that game, so you're wrong about seeing the 2nd and 3rd string offense run the game after the 3rd quarter in those types of games as well.

The lengths some of you will go to discredit the only coach to take us to a BCS Bowl in the modern era of college football is hilarious. It's gotten to the point that y'all will literally just make shite up. He is quite literally the best coach we've hired since Hatfield and it eats y'all alive.

It has been 15 years since Petrino was fired. We've had a better defense than the one he built here one time in that 15 years.

His defenses improved each season from 2008 to 2011.

2008 94
2009 58
2010 47
2011 33

He had good defenses at Louisville until his last two seasons.

2014 25
2015 39
2016 31
2017 70
2018 128

You left off 2012.

It's isn't a the false equivalency of the job was given to Silverfield over Petrino.

Petrino had his shot, they went 0-7, including a head to head loss to Silverfield. Drewbie save your tears, everyone saw the offense lose that game for Arkansas.

The real issue goes back further when Yurachek refused to pay up a few hundred thousand to out bid Ole Miss fo Kiffen.

Per Hunter usual money is always a problem until it isn't, Arkansas was somehow magically able to come up with twice as much to out bid themselves for Pittman and even more to beat everyone else off of Memphis door.

Go ahead and believe what Hunter believes that the only two guys with zero serious outside competition to have them as a HC were the only two options available for Arkansas.

Welcome back to another episode of DaleDenton, where everything is made up and the posts don't matter. Our next game is scenarios from a hat.

Surely this incredible administration would replace the winningest coach since 2018 with someone better. No imagination required there at all.

We ridin' through 2031.
