a coach who understands the gsme changes and realizes if somrthing isn't working you must get creative....awesome!

I know most coaches at this level can give a great introductory interview, but he has me buying in hard. I now truly believe this is a home run hire.

Sounds good. Waiting to hear on a DC. The man is obviously all about offense, and that's fine, but offense isn't going to get it all done.

As someone very shaky on the hire, that interview is beginning to sway me a bit. He seems like a very decent man who has clearly taken a ton of the Dabo model in how he deals with the program. I hope he does well, I hope his metrics numbers are a fluke, and I honestly think he could get to 8 wins pretty easily next year, the transition from power to spread is not nearly as hard as spread to power.

I refuse to predict or even allow myself to forsee anything close to 8 wins in the first year, but I do agree that the transition is a little easier, and from what I've read it's more if a power spread too.

If it's any help, his team this last year was didn't collapse every 3rd and 4th quarter. I don't know if it was a defensive talent issue or a coaching issue though in the games they lost. That said I spent a little time going through film highlights and I like the offense.
Edit: I am easily distracted by flashy offenses though.
