In the majority of these cases the officer already has their weapon drawn, and not their tazer. If someone is reaching for a weapon, you can tazer them and that solves the issue. Innocent people die, because a cop misreads an action as threatening and shoots the dude instead of tazering him. There's really no excuse. Better training needs to be done, and people need to stop pulling and aiming guns at unarmed people. They do it in every other developed nation. Shoot the man in the leg, do something other than kill him, especially if there's no visible weapon for christ sake.

You must be under the ignorant assumption that a Taser works every time. Also, you don't shoot someone in the leg because in the event that they do have a weapon, shooting them in the leg isn't going to stop them from killing you. I'm sick and tired of people like you sitting comfortably in your home armchair quarterbacking a profession you obviously know nothing about.

Tazers don't work at about the same rates as a gun misfires aka hardly ever. My godfather was a police officer for over 20 years and is disgusted with the actions of some officers. Litteraly described numerous incidents of racism with trigger happy, profiling officers. It's a cycle man, the kkk was well known to try their darnedest to get members into law enforcement and there are officers in departments today that come from that lineage. I'm not niave and im informed enough to write a 20 page report on the subject so get ready to be logically assfricked if you really want to debate this.

That's all I needed to hear for me to draw the conclusion that you don't know what you're talking about.

He's right though. Tasers fail to work FAR more often than a gun misfires. A taser requires that both pins hit the target and make contact with skin. If one pin misses or gets caught in clothing the taser doesn't work.

Yeah, let's get rid of alcohol while we are at it! There are more alcohol related death every year than there are firearm related deaths. Make America safe!

Protest feedback-lash

BY JASON PEDERSONTUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH 2016

?

A Freedom of Information Act request produced well over 500 comments to the U of A following a controversial protest. We have reviewed them all.

tweet now!

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) -

Following a Freedom of Information Act request, Channel Seven has reviewed more than 500 emails and calls made to the University of Arkansas in the days immediately following a protest by six members of the women's basketball team.

On Monday U of A Chancellor Dr. Joseph Steinmetz issued a call for civility in this charged political climate.

And for the most part the emails received in the wake of the women's basketball team protest are civil.

Only five out of the nearly 550 include profanity.

After six members of the Lady Razorbacks choose to kneel during the national anthem, lifelong Hog fan Seth Biehslich started hearing about it in Kabul, Afghanistan.

He tells Athletic Director Jeff Long in an email "I've had several co-workers comment..."What's up with your Lady Razorbacks, how disrespectful..."

495 people disapproved of the protest and the way university leadership handled it.

45 people offered words of support and encouragement to university leaders.

I'm not an adocate for gun control but I don't see how everyone can't be onboard with more comprehensive background checks for all gun dealers. Trump was trying to ban all Muslims from entering the country (he did take it down from his website) because we didn't know if they're dangerous or not but Islamic terrorism has killed significantly less people since 9/11 than US cops kill every year. Domestic gun violence kills litteraly more than 10s of thousands a year. we can't just do nothing, that's irresponsible.
