If Bert can stay off the headset this week and not call a fake drop kick, this may be a pretty good game.

Early on, I have a good feeling about this one.

While TN has been just as much of a shite show as we have, they took TN and OU down to the end. If we make two FGs, or if Allen hits Henry in the end zone, the final margin of victory is 10-11 points.

Big picture, I think playing in front of 100k at Neyland prepares this team well for going into Bryant-Denny.

I agree, but seeing what Bama did on the road in the rain has me concerned what they will do in sunny Bryant-Denny

I think we have better QB play than UGA.

That cat is bad. He couldn't cut it at Virginia.

I think BA is good enough to keep this one close and gives us a chance to win in the end. Yea, I think we come up short, but I also think this is a 2-4 point game again.

I think we're gonna get killed but we won this week so no sec 0fer and that should tide (pun intended) me over for this week.

We will have to tackle better and contain better to have any chance against Bama.

Henry running wild kinda scares me this week!

The line on the game should be huge. Of course Vegas is brilliant, but I'm going with the Hogs against the spread if it's 14 or greater. Less and I'll have to think. If at home, I'd take us if 10 or more, but I'll factor in a few extra points for the away. I think we keep it closer than Georgia. They have no reason to want to push our shite in like the did the Dawgs. Not to mention being pissed from the Ole Miss game. Thanks to Nick and Bert...my stack just got A LOT bigger yesterday. I just gotta decide who to go with in this match up.

Was that as bad of a throw as people are saying? From my view (which was on the Hogs sideline on the opposite 10 yd line from where the play happened) It looked like he was trying to avoid a linebacker sitting in the middle. It still looked like he could have made the play, though.

If its the same play I'm thinking of, a "perfect" throw would have resulted in an INT.

Henry was wide open. A perfect throw would not have resulted in an INT.

Then we are thinking of two separate passes to Henry in the endzone like I said.

I don't think TV showed a replay.

I think Tenner had a pretty weak offense outside of Hurd. Hurd probably better than Henry but Hurd don't have Henry's line.

I think bama's QB has been getting better hasn't he?

Wouldn't put it past Rob to come up with a decent scheme but not confident in the offense. Offense couldn't seal the deal last nite, put it all on the D again like they always do.

AC had a great game. Wonder of his ankle will be 80% Saturday?

Meh, Hurd just seems to be so soft to me. He seems to rarely run through tackles, and he has a penchant for going down on first contact in the Tennessee games I've watched. Henry is impossible to arm tackle and seems to always run through tackles very well.

Tee Martin calls Jalen Hurd "so soft and terrible"

Yes he air mailed it out the back of the endzone just like Toledo.

1-2 feet lower and its a TD.

Agreed. I was cussing Bert and Enos a lot last night, but that 3rd down toss play was a phenomenal call.

Which is ridiculous considering the 4 and 5 star talent they've pulled in the 'skill' positions.

I prefer to call the the quick positions because speed is what separates talent at WR, RB, TE, and QB.

Early key for Bama game is limiting their big plays. Make them have 10+ play drives to score. Make Coker convert a few third and longs.

They've turned the ball over quite a bit this season. Coker can get rattled and they will put the ball on the ground. Make Henry go north and south. Seal the edge better than we did against TN.

Just some Sunday thoughts...

Not really, they are a team built to gain yardage on the edges in a league that has defenders quick enough to seal the edges.

They have no one who can go between the tackles or over the middle in the intermediate passing game.

Basically they are a soft spread team.
