Not sure how you can enforce payback of money or withheld payments.

There have been players pick up their legit NIL checks from a business on Monday morning, then jump into the portal on Monday afternoon.

Me either but I’m sure you could put it in a contract. They get 80% of payments throughout the season and the final 20% be the bowl game maybe?

Also believe NIL will die down once the revenue sharing happens. Wright BBQ will be able to pay players to do a catfish hole style Q and A. They do the event for the money.

Tyson will be able to pay a player to hand turkeys to homeless, and that event will be done.

It won’t just be money to buy players, it will be for what it always should have been, they bring something to your bidness.

But... FFS.... we did make, and win, a bowl game this year.

These bowl games are meaningless. Players looking for a way out before the games. Not useful for player development.

The only reason they still play them is so coaches can get incentive pay and gambling.

They play them because their NIL is/or should be based on playing. Same reason all of you show up to work. None of you show up for the love of flipping hamburgers.

disagree... There were several players who stepped up and showed out. We saw some talent out of bench and backups. Something to build on, encourage and develop. The extra practices for those boys will pay off for several. Fans were excited to attend, builds a bit of a following to be on ESPN etc.

Look, I know we are doom and gloom and I am an anomaly, but dang folks, your get up and go, has got up and went.

How many of your personalities are glass half full? How many of you are helll to live with?

Well the ones leaving are but it's useful for those who are staying....

Yeah forget the school getting bowl revenue shares, players getting a trip, and us not ending our season on a dead note....

If this program is gonna succeed we need repeat and consistent bowl appearances. This being the floor is fine to build upon.

This team did better than predicted with a new offense, new qb and rebuilding the oline again. No superstar players at all anywhere. No big game changing dudes who can be leaned on when needed like a Matt Jones or a DMac type of player who can take one to the house at any time. We don’t get those often at all.

It’s like trying to win basketball games these days when you can’t hit a 3 but have to rely on driving the lane and free throws or having to play small ball in baseball. Good enough to win some games but low ceiling.

Look at the difference burks made and he was just one kid. We didn’t have that this year and next year looks no different.

This year went as I expected and I feel like next year will be similar.

ya know, that is the point with me and many others... Most predicted a 3-5 win season to begin with and would have been thrilled with 6 wins with BP back in year 1 at the beginning... Or so I choose to believe from past threads here, and elsewhere.

But, then we barely lost to 3 teams... AGAIN and that perspective went out the window for a bit, for me... and I was angry, but then I remembered... Year 1 with Petrino and went back to look at his 1st year at places..

If compared to his 1st season as HC, we are above the curve, so to speak... The portal haul has beefed the Oline up significantly, WR will be fine, ST's improved overall, not sure on RB, or defense yet...

If these guys would just stop shooting themselves in the foot with with costly penalties at the wrong times and turnovers it would be a different ballgame. Let the other team do that crap and we have a chance. Right now this is resorted to blue collar grind it out ball with no game breakers on board. They have to learn to play clean.

Honestly Armstrong had a better season this year statistically than any of Treylon’s. I don’t consider him to be as talented but he bailed us out countless times.

Would be at least 10-3 (possibly 9-4 because bowl game would’ve had better competition).

But it’s the same song different verse year after year under Pittman. Should’ve won “X” amount of games, instead of the 4-6 won instead.

It also needs to be figured out how in the hell to win and play well at home. Tennessee being the outlier, Arkansas played absolutely atrocious at home this season. arse whippings by LSU and Ole Miss. not so great games against UAB and LaTech.

Exactly. Winning less than we should have is a hallmark of the Pittman era.

The 2021 team could've (and should've) won 10 in the regular season. They lost to Ole Miss by 1 play, and lost to a bad Auburn team at home because we were completely unprepared.

The 2022 team lost to A&M, Liberty, LSU, and Mizzou by a combined 9 points. I'd argue that was Pittman's most talented team and his worst coaching job in his tenure here. Only winning 6 regular season games with that team was worse than going 4-8 in 2023.

This year's team should've beat OSU, A&M, and Mizzou.

Pittman's had 3 squads thus far that should've gone 10-2 or 9-3 in the regular season, and he's gone 8-4, 6-6, and 6-6 with them. It's pretty crazy that that doesn't seem to matter to Yurachek.

Playing like hammered dogshit in Fayetteville is another hallmark of the Pittman era, at least since he got paid.

At this point I'm of the opinion whoever his big fb donors HAD to have told him to kick rocks regarding a new coach. Not much else makes sense.

exactly, until the settlement and revenue sharing are completely figured out, along with possible title 9 suits on their way....
