We have so many folks, in the community that I live in, on food stamps for their 4 kids, getting wic, NADC payments for their utilities, going to the local food room and drawing all kinds of government payments that want to keep doing their minimum wage job for one reason. Without it, they lose all of those benefits including free medical care.
Raising wages lowers the percentage of people that qualify for these benefits so I'm not sure what the complaint is here. It's not a fix, but it does help with the dependency issues many have with government aid.

11 is too high. Don't agree with that at all.

11 is too high, but 10 is just right

Like I said, you aren't very smart and will probably always need the Gov't to get your pay raisees

I'm just flabbergasted by the folks who feel they're so much better than the McDonalds workers on here.

MF'er, I'll say it. Yes, I was/am more skilled and a better employee for the workforce than them, even when I was 14.

If the McDonald employee's only skill is putting french fries in a basket, dunking them in oil, and hitting a button, then removing fries, shake, salt, dump in fry bin.

Rinse, wash, repeat

If you cant be critical of people in the labor force, then you definitely can't be critical of teenagers playing college sports.

Hall of Fame pitcher, Tom Glavine is and will always be better than 99% of all left handed pitchers on this earth.

they also know when to drop them and how many based on customers time of day and other mrp stuff they do in their head.

sure you can be critical but saying 14 year old you added more value to the economy than a McDonalds worker is silly unless you were totally on your own spending 15k a year in housing food and gas to get to work.

Why would you build a casino in pine bluff or Russellville. The other two sites should be good to go

You're on here talking trash about people with certain jobs and you can't even read.

raising the stupid minimum wage has a direct affect on raising inflation and causing businesses to cut jobs

once inflation is up, the "good" affect of the higher wage is gone, period, and what's left is it had a bad affect on seniors who are on fixed incomes, who feel the inflation more than anyone else

There is no smart argument to support govt increasing minimum wage

The super rich Democrats love it because it hurts small business, and they get to pretend like they care about the working man

Seniors should keep working and not quit their jobs.

But no....they have to watch wheel of Fortune.

Arkansas has to be the most progressive red trump-state, so im gonna brag a little.
Many here do NOT like it, but, we have $11 minimum wage phasing in(highest in the south by far), medicaid expansion so the poor here are covered (although w/ a work requirement for able bodied), & are the first southern state with medical cannabis (although the roll-out has been slow af). It's astonishing tbh.

Y'all can keep being a red state, just keep passing muh progressive policies!!

If you can't operate your business with the amount of employees you can afford to employ, you're running a failing business. Failing businesses die. Keeping alive a struggling business at the expense of putting every employee that isn't the owner on a wage that qualifies for food stamps is not a solution.
So all 6 of those employees lose their job and are fully dependent on the government.

Congratulations.

Pigfeet was right. A college education was not the right path for you.
