Kelly is an exceptional hire for LSU and he will not have the recruiting restrictions he had at ND. He will have more talent at his disposal at LSU.

I admire coaches who want a challenge, and BK essentially said he wants Saban. The West is crazy.

How many people have to die at LSU? I'm sure that kid that died on the scissor lift would be proud. Or the girl that killed herself after sexual assaulted when Kelly helped cover up for her assailant?

It got out of hand when head coaches were making $3m per year and assistants and ADs suddenly needed to make $1.5M

I do believe Brian Kelly is a good coach. However, I do not believe he is a good “fit” at LSU. He’ll have good years, and he’ll have down years like anyone not named Saban. Just don’t think he’s a good cultural fit. Sam will kick his arse in Fayetteville next year.

LSU fans are touting Kelly's last 5 years, but they conveniently omit his first 7....

2010: 8-5
2011: 8-5
2012: 12-1
2013: 9-4
2014: 8-5
2015: 10-3
2016: 4-8

LSU would've canned him after 2014. They pushed Miles out for less.

it seems that most are not paying attention to a post above.

BK will have much more talented recruits to pick from at LSU. He is a good coach, and with those recruits, LSU will do well.

JMHO of course...

Currently ranked #4. Last year #9.

So not much is changed, he can go into any Catholic high school right now and say come here and we are basically just the same.

However, one way they can make and keep him happy is to give him (or keep giving him) whatever it takes in terms of money for the assistant pool.

^This! I think he is the type to work raises for his assistants instead of asking for more money for himself.

Let's be real... for most of us 4 mill a year is a dream. Pit doesn't seem like the greedy type that will always want more.

Yes but Notre Dame gets a lot of hype and they simply are not very good.

Still says hey come be Catholic, it’s just like your high school and you can tell people you graduated from a household name school.

I didn’t realize how many catholic schools are in Louisiana though, so now he can take the dumb kids at Catholic schools to LSU.

If you’re calling folks that went to Catholic schools dumb then meet me at Sonic. If just Louisianan’s, then carry on.

Nah, Baptist schools or nothing!

What I meant is the educational requirements are higher at ND than LSU.
