But the way Dick kindof phrased his point was really poor and very consistent with his long standing bias against arkansas.

I hope the crowd gives Vitale hell today. He deserves it. Not just for these comments, but also for what he said about Moses Kingsley a few years ago. And it goes back even farther than that. Vitale has always thrown shade at Arkansas.
I hope Arkansas kicks Kentucky's arse and the fans let Vitale know about it the entire time. frick that guy.

I think that’s one thing that HY and the staff have figured out that the Yankee never did. We’re a pretty proud state and If you backhand us in a tweet or put us down in any way we’re going to want to fight no matter how big you are. Frank has that attitude and a lot of his hires did.
You saw it in our athletic programs. They had no fight or pride. Sam and Muss obviously get Arkansas and I hope it continues.
If they keep that up and win things will change drastically.

In general Vitale has annoyed me as much as Verne did when we were actually relevant but playing Alabama...
You know - when Childs ran for 40yds and then momentarily dropped the ball in the endzone... Verne tried to insinuate incomplete pass? I wanted to jump through the TV and bitchslap that old piece of shite.
That Being Said however... Vitale made a POINT to credit the crowd at the beginning of the game and stated it wasn't just because UK was in town... it's almost as if he was replying to Arkansas fans and acknowledging the perceived slight.
The guy was actually complimentary all game... and when he made a point to call out missed fouls committed by UK I couldn't believe my ears.
Gave me hope not necessarily for the game, but for the program's place in the world going forward.
