Regularly scheduled BOT meeting tomorrow and Friday.

It’s that Bobby Bones, our extremely outspoken, celebrity fellow fan and avid $$$ donor, just put all the blame to the AD.
He’s 100000% correct of course, but the fact that he’s putting this out publicly is noteworthy.
Logically, Hunter Yurachek’s days as our AD are numbered and that number is small. Logically(Not sourced info) that firing coming in the days following our whipping on Saturday to Georgia makes a ton of sense.

Bones has been alluding to it without saying AD specifically but I guess Hunter must have pissed him off this week and he finally just said what needed to be said.

It was too late. Transfer portal closed in early Jan. HS signing day already passed. If he’s been raising money for next year I’ll give him props for not brining it up and bitching about it. Hell any of us would be pissed if we didn’t have the resources to do the job we were hired for.
Still not sure he can coach but I’m willing to let this HY stuff play out and see what Silverfield does in the portal.
Also I did hear from someone who attended one on the fall camp practices. Supposedly RS said it’s one of the worst rosters he’s coached from a talent perspective. This was 3-4 weeks prior to the first game so I figured it was an embellishment but so far looking like my guy wasn’t lying. I’ve been pretty vocal on here about us not having a talent issue, as in we have enough talent to win 5-6 games. Maybe I was wrong.

He was told he couldn’t spend the money by Jan 15.
He was hired on Nov 30
He got the 6 figure donation on December 3rd during the Louisville game.
Hunter wouldn’t let him spend it because they had already planned a budget for the cycle.
He fundraised most of December.
Once again something he could have benefited from.
He could have benefitted during the portal period which was Jan 2 - Jan 16.
Hunter hamstrung him.

It's worse than that the money raised goes into a big pot and HY budgets what does where, basketball being the exception Tyson basically wrote the check directly to Cal.
HY's "plan" is for the protect college sports act to be passed. The reported budget for NIL this year coincids with the reported cap in the legislation. Other talk has been of funds Silverfield has raised being for retention of players which also has a cap in the legislation.
HY has limited Arkansas to rules and regulations that do not currently exist. He's also of the belief that said legislation will even the playing field, which it will not, as true NIL will remain uncapped.

Taylen Green was out of eligibility, and the best players transferred to Oklahoma and Texas. Now, perhaps if they’d handled their coaching transition like, say, Kentucky did, they could have kept priority retention targets. But they didn’t.
They told the coach to raise money for 2027 and gave them a budget that gives you what you’ve seen on the field so far.

Pretty much all this. The only thing that would even bother me is if Hunter isn’t let go, but I think that ship has sailed.
You let your new AD view Ryan for a year and make a choice. And that choice will be really easy to make if he doesn’t let Cramsey go.. should go get Briles, since Beamer will most likely be let go this year.

What he means when he says this is, Kentucky got stoops to structure his contract for a longer payout of the same money. They went the hot coordinator route. And the AD had worked with boosters, that if they fired Stoops he would need $XXm in donations for NIL budget. Hunter fired Pittman hired a coach no one wanted and didn’t worry about NIL.

We are all partially correct, as everything in life it’s comprehensive. You could add in, when he said I didn’t know what to do, half empty stadiums, etc.
