So winning the SEC is a bigger goal than winning the CWS?
You are allowed to do both.
It isn't an either/or.
Pick up a few games during SEC play and Arkansas isn't a 5 seed this year, possibly snagging the 2 seed in Vandy's place.
Win the SEC and you are likely the top seed at Omaha on your side of the bracket, you're facing a team of less than OM's caliber in the supers. So yes, beat OM at home and you don't face them at home in supers.
But you will no pivot that it doesn't matter as Arkansas will likely play 3 of the last 4 in during this tournament. TCU at home, FSU, and Michigan in Omaha, theoretically the could also face the last team announced in Auburn in the finals.
Winning the SEC in the past 15 years could have led to even more trips to Omaha due to favorable seeding, brackets, and sites of games played.
Wining the SEC in Baseball or Football isn't going to hurt you post season aspirations, in fact it will be a boost for them, similar to how the SEC winner in football isn't going to be left out of the playoff, the baseball regular season champ isn't not going to be a national seed for the foresee-able future. Basketball isn't the same as the conference took a serious reputation hit in the mid-2000s it is still trying to repair.

As much as I respect you irrationally dying on this wall
I have bad news for you...

There is something t oil be said for sticking to your opinions when everyone is on your arse because it's not popular. I caught allot of crap for my disdain for Jeff Long. However I never had to go to the extreme mental gymnastics and inconsistent illogical bankrupt arguments that Dale does/did for Vand Horn and Anderson.
Dale, when you have to go soo far out on the leaf tip, on the twig, on the shoot, on the end of a branch let, on a split limb, on the rotten trunk of a weak wooded tree, its.time to reevaluate your position.
It's fine to admit you just don't like someone for whatever reason. You don't even have to "have" or "give" a reason. That's fine, and allot more rational than the total BS you have been trying to pull out of your arse.

I thought once Mike was officially let go some of the infighting here would die down. Especially the stuff centered around DVH.

Ridiculous opinions are always subject to ridicule. Nothing's changed here.

Totally agree. What's your comment on always being an 8/9 seed the years we actually made the Basketball tourney? Which led to facing a 1 seed in the second round.

So you acknowledge the SEC is a stout conference in baseball, most would say the toughest.

So you acknowledge the SEC isn't a tough conference in basketball, I agree.
What your saying is, we should have more SEC basketball conference championships than baseball; given the conference is weaker in basketball. I agree.

Listen... dude's wrong and he knows he's wrong. Its just the ultimate escalation of committment mental model at this point.
I honestly respect him for continuing to add to the sunk cost.
ETA: I laughed my arse off at his "Happy to be here!" Omaha tirade in 2015. There's a very good chance we go 1-2 this year and.I really hope he does the same.

I usually don't take part in these threads because I can recognize a lost cause when I see one.
Dale is a lost cause my friends.
He's got confirmation bias to the extreme, there's no changing that. I would suggest everyone just give up already, its a pointless endeavor.
