I’m kinda nervous that if Campbell is off tomorrow, who would come in for him? Reindl just looked like complete arse.

Everybody, minus Murphy, should be considered

Loseke could probably give us a little bit of work if we needed it

Reindl got squared up on today, but it doesn’t change things with him. Hell, Murphy looked like arse today too.

Reindl can still give us legit long relief tomorrow if needed. Cronin hasn’t thrown. Loseke can go. So that’s three pretty legit guys we can go to after Campbell. I’m not worried about arms, I’m more concerned about our bats coming alive at timely times and our guys laying off of shite pitches.

The umpire sucked today. I highly doubt we get fricked at home two days in a row.

Yeah he was bad, but we’ve got to do better at establishing an inside fastball. Everything we throw is away, which he wasn’t calling or leaving breaking balls up in the zone to get hammered. I didn’t feel like their pitchers were getting calls we weren’t.

Kinda of a fluky game across the board. They had a lot of errors. We missed out on a few breaks. Disappointed we didn’t play a little more inspired but I think we take tomorrow’s game. Campbell knows he’s on a short leash, he’s got nothing to lose, I think he goes 5 innings tomorrow and doesn’t give up any runs.

This. South Carolina had a lot more plate discipline than us today. We kept hacking at pitches he consistently called balls for both sides, and our bats have a tendency to disappear when they're needed most. They will hit with RISP tomorrow or baseball season will be over.

They weren't.

The ump had a consistent strike zone for both sides through out the game, I don't know what else you could ask for from the home plate ump. He wasn't calling a ball a couple inches off the plate to the outside to be a strike like a lot of the umps do in college now days.

He was giving lee-way to the inside of the plate.

As a player you have to identify this and adapt, a coaches job would be to help the players identify and adapt, both pitching and hitting. Of course this would have been productive towards victory, instead the pitching coach drags his feet to the mound and the HC would rather argue balls and strikes towards the mound and both trying to show up the ump in front of the home crowd.

Exactly. We have been pretty free with the swings this season. It has worked out well most of the time. Not going to overly worry about this loss today. I think we will respond just fine. South Carolina has also used a lot of pitching so far so may the best team win.

I mean, this is only our 4th home loss if the season. Doubtful that we drop two in a row at home.

Really no different than getting a technical foul in basketball to fire up your team.

DVH can't make the pitches for them.

I can't take you serious when you only show up after a loss. You haven't showed up once this season after a big win, but predictable Dale is here to act like a bitch after a loss. Frick off.

Really weird game.

Gotta capitalize on runners at 3rd base. Bizarre it would have been tied had we scored a couple and got the Kjerstad call.

That being said, Reindl got absolutely shallacked. That was ugly.

Time for Fletcher to step up. We need his bat to produce.

And Cole needs to get it going as well.
