We cannot be worse.

Please tell me this is only a pic and Deion is not being considered, surely they have more sense than that.

Don’t listen to any names that pop up among national media. Way too early and usually based on kind of past conjecture

Yet Pittman won with them, he can spot talent, he can’t coach it.

Pittman went 3-7 his first season…won games in large part due to a transfer QB from Florida. He had to overhaul the OL and put weight back on the ones who stayed.

36 players transferred after Morris was fired. 28 after the season and 8 during the spring. Pittman brought in 31.

How many were lineman?
Once again, I don’t want Chad coaching them, or guiding them. But as far as finding them, he is great at it. He can’t do anything with them other than signing them. That’s why I said GM.

He interviewed for the job before we hired Pittman. Supposedly he came in with a giant binder and a plan for how to turn our program around and interviewed really well. We didn't hire him because he had no prior head coaching experience.

So, naturally, we hired a guy with no head coaching experience.

He had nothing above private high school experience. Which is why he went to a HBCU. Then Colorado instead of serious school. He has the same 50/50 record at Colorado as Sam has in the SEC.

I was on the Deion train at first but you no longer need to recruit and that is what he can do. You need a detailed master planner good with personnel evaluation. Deion is the opposite of that.

I was on YT and this popped up in my feed, I had forgotten about some of the good players Petrino had on the hill. Dennis Johnson was a train for sure

This is how we’ve dropped the ball on NIL more than anything. If you set up the right structure with a “front office”, no indication we even know where to start with this, then you go out and build a roster based on needs and value. You don’t have to get in a bidding war with 5* recruits or paying guys to transfer from UGA, Bama, etc to be successful.

Should look like what baseball has been doing for years. Most of our key transfers don’t come from P4 programs.

A couple things stand out to me.

First, Bobby's teams never had any quit in them.

Second, as much as people like to talk about Petrino "not caring" about defense, we probably had 10 times more big time defensive plays during his tenure than we've had in the last 7-8 years combined.

Man, how I've missed the fight in our teams for a long time now.

Yup, We had an offense that would run downhill or throw deep and a defense that wasn't afraid to knock someone into the next week.

That hit that Jerico Nelson laid on that AU tailback was a classic and don't leave out Malcom Shepard of the hit list.

The 03 game against Texas popped up on suggest on YouTube, the 15 minute condensed version.

Watching that and you saw an offense running 4 plays, but blockers looked to hit some one when Jones was running for his life to avoid a sack.

Defense had corners best for big plays, but safeties were there for help. The defense set the edge on every running play and was looking to hit someone.

Compared to Saturday and was shocking how much faster that team was on defense and how much effort was given on every play.
