lol what? For guys not named Day, Lanning or Smart meaning guys in a legit position to move on/up Campbell is somewhere around 1A or 1B with Dillingham for me.

If you wouldn’t take Matt Campbell you are legit retarded. It’s like saying you wouldn’t take bill Snyder. He won 11 games in 2024 at Iowa state. Iowa state! Oh and he’s 45 so he’s got 20 years left in the tank most likely

When someone said Franklin was calling around to ask about the inner workings of our program, for some reason I had a feeling his interest would decrease on wanting to be here.

That's the only year out of the last 5 that he's won over 7 games. Id be happy with that hire over what we'll probably get, but in no way would I call that as crazy as turning away Kirby Smart ??

Cullman is saying Gruden without saying him his name. I said pages back if we couldn’t get Franklin they might move fast on Gruden.. did that happen? I can’t say for sure.

That's the only year out of the last 5 that he's won over 7 games.
I can not stress enough how awful they have been historically as a program. From 1903 until 2015 they had 4 8 win seasons. 8 wins being the most in program history for a single season. Since Campbell took over in 2016 they’ve won 8 or more games 4 times including setting program best 9 wins and 11 wins and producing some of the best talent that has ever came through the program like Brock purdy and breece hall. Again, we are talking about a guy that has won conference coach of the year 3 times in 9 years. You give Matt Campbell Georgia or lsu resources and he’s competing for titles

We aren’t getting someone like that. The options fall into one of theses categories:
1. Up and comer. Coordinator or coach at g5.
2 Retread that has failed somewhere else.
3. Coach at P5 that sees the writing on the wall and is looking for a soft landing.

I actually don't hate the PJ Fleck idea, I just think it may take a year or two to get going and I wonder if we will have patience.
Reality is we need a spark hire that can make a portal splash and win enough to get to a bowl next year and then make a bigger run the next. I really think that's the only thing that gets the fans back on board right now. Anything else will be sit on hands and wait and see.
Regardless of how good the hire is.....

He and one other poster have legit info that everyone else there ignores. It could be Gruden but I remember reading a post from him early in the process, before Franklin was fired, that said Gruden wasn’t the big hire they were looking to make.
