Not sure why he even has Sumrall on there. I’d be shocked if Auburn didn’t hire him

Franklin, golesh or Morris will all be solid hires.

So who’s making the call on who we interview and how they stack up on the short list? Cause if that’s the actual list I’m impressed/ shocked.

He inherited a team who had won 10+ the two prior years before him. The program immediately took a step back after he took over.

He improved them so much they jumped from FCS to FBS and retained his staff. They are now 5-3 and 3-1 in conference in their first year in FBS with his son as OC and son-in-law as HC. They are already outperforming programs like Liberty.

These sounds like accomplishments for his family members. Not him.

He made them the best team in their conference for the first time in three decades.

An accomplishment yes, but it was also in the wonky covid year. One offs happen and everything points to that season being that for him to me.

In the Big East and AAC. The only decent team on the schedule the year prior was UCF and they lost to them. They moved to the ACC in Bobby's first year and he won 9 games. Bobby's losses were to teams like Clemson, Florida State, and Georgia. Reality simply doesn't align with the narrative you're trying to push.

Again this is rumors and piecing together hearsay on here and other boards but it seems Tyson has got other big donors to put together an impressive salary pool and nil package specific for James Franklin. Money would still be there for other names like Golesh, Pj fleck, summeral, others who change by the day. Said even before yesterday game Golesh would be my 2 behind Franklin. His name picked up steam in Auburn board today and thought I saw Penn st was interested in him too but they seemed firmly solid on Hartline. Even Va Tech posters are now saying they’re getting sexton’d by JF lol.

This is the most money we’ve ever invested in football that we’ve gathered this search. The people paying the bill aren’t messing around

Biddy put out a nice update basically reinforcing what I’ve said they’re doing everything they possibly can to get Franklin and he’s doing his own personal homework on the job and that’s never a bad thing.

So just ignore that they were 4-0 in that span vs the SEC and ACC combined right?

If CBP beats LSWho and Texass does his odds improve to where he's in the conversation near the top?

Sumrall is taking it to Silverfield early. 28-17 Tulane almost half. In Memphis.

Make that 35-17 still 2nd quarter.

38-17 in the 3rd quarter
Memphis can't put together scoring drives.

Hard pass on Silverfield

Petrino didn't lose to Kentucky or Miami either.

I am going to be blunt, I would settle for franklin... But I am so nostalgic for Petrino and his past teams. Man, that Offense with a top 45-50 Defense would be so freaking fun to see.

but.... alas, it evidently isn't meant to be.

Petrino still has it. Can put together an elite offense. Buy him a defense and we are scary good.

I agree but If the RTB (retards that be) are only willing to open up the pocket books for Franklin, albeit an inferior coach imo to Bobby, then that’s the direction we need to go. The biggest issue is getting the jimmys and joes in today’s world of pay for play.

He lost to 9-3 UGA and Clemson. Strong beat a 9-3 UM. Strong beat a 11-1 UF. The kind of games you want to excuse petrino for losing strong was winning.

Franklin is the most unexciting name on the list, probably because Pittman's greatest win was over his team. Maybe because he is mid level over all. Or it could be his personality.

I could be sold on UNT Morris, Golesch, or Dillingham to have more optimism and excitement about the future.

With Franklin it's "Yay were hoping for 8-4 as long as there isn't too many ranked team on the schedule." Then I remember we are Arkansas where every SEC game the league gives us is against a ranked opponent, so you gotta hope they are outside the top 15 if you want to to have a bowl game to go and get embarrassed at.

It's like his name is James Pittman and he thinks he knows what to do.
