They’re committing more money than they’ve gotten committed to football, there’s definitely a difference this time around.

Perhaps it is retardation, but brand names bring the money. See Calipari.

They can also bring situations like Bill Belichick. So it's a fine line to walk.

The most unsurprising report from UNC was how Bill thought college would be less work than in the NFL.

Letting your 24 year old girlfriend run the program is probably not the best idea either.

Josh Pate mentioned one of the anonymous names I talked about earlier in a podcast today.

No Lincoln Riley. He reached out to Arkansas and LSU not long ago, he wants to move back to the central US.

That said it’s like less than 1 percent chance of that ever happening. We would have to pay $10M just to buy him out from USC

All those other teams playing 50 mil for their coach to leave. We’re paying 10 mil for their coach. Chess not checkers boys . That said yea no way Riley comes here right? Sounds like our donors getting serious has turned some heads ala Texas Tech.

Lincoln Riley.
I'm sorry but if you can't make a team that can beat Bert at Illinois at a program like USC, there's no way in hell I trust you in the uphill battle that is Arkansas football in the SEC.

He’s a terrible fit out there and he knows it, plus their NIL situation is horrid.

I wouldn’t complain with a Lincoln Riley hire.

He’d be more of a fit here & our money guys would help him with NIL if that’s their guy

Hard pass on Riley. All the issues with BP and not recruiting defense were even worse with Riley at OU. I literally NEVER watch him at USC so IDK if he's fixed the issue but I'm still not a fan. Another offensive guy that seems bothered by devoting practice time to defense.

Why not Eric Morris at north Texas? He’s the guy that found cam Ward and John Mateer and got them to Washington state. He’s also setting schools records with a qb that didn’t play high school football. Seems like a qb whisperer

He's 10 games over .500 as a head coach at Incarnate Word and North Texas. Four out of his six seasons as a head coach have been .500 or worse. He is 10-11 overall in conference play at North Texas.

Also Baker Mayfield and Patrick Mahomes at TTU. He is creditws with Chandler Morris doing well at UVA.

He's towards the top for the okie state job.

Instead of going after him and hiring, they will chase after white whales with LSU and Florida into mid December and end up with someone worse than him who they could hire in a few weeks.

His record prior to this year seems way too much like a certain other Morris for me to be confident in the hire.

This is agent talk; no one is bringing up Eric Morris except for his agents to podcast hosts and other media to he laundered in for schools he doesn’t deserve yet.
