But also realize Golesh might’ve seen that as a sign pointing to bigger issues. Like he told Hunter, no matter what it wasn’t supposed to leak.

A second independent source has told @thewarrapport that Jon Sumrall soured on the Auburn job after being presented with a series of discouraging narratives about what coaching on the Plains would entail. Those accounts ranged from stories of overreaching boosters to allegations of staffers embedded within the program for the purpose of monitoring and reporting on the head coach. In short, virtually every familiar negative trope about coaching at Auburn was repackaged and relayed to him until he ultimately backed away from the opportunity. The source states financials had no impact on his decision; Auburn’s offer to Sumrall was equal to Florida’s, with a stronger incentive structure.
@thewarrapport

Auburn seems pretty toxic as well

Folks act like these guys and their camps can’t do the same amount of research on the program and ADs as they can on their resume and interviews.

What did we think coaches were going to think of HY and his interviews and probably what they know behind the scenes with our disaster “booster” base.

Not to mention Golesh went 0-3 vs Silverfield with same talent in same conference.

Golesh didn’t have FedEx pumping money into USF’s NIL. Pretty sure Memphis had everyone in their conference covered, for several years.

Golesh seems like a puss, backed bc of one tweet. Wait until he deals with Aubie crazies.

We need a big time DC - Durkin, Blake Baker, Mark Stoops - hopefully we have money for staff.

Had a 4 hr drive home to melt.

Hunter should be gone tomorrow but apparently has kissed enough BOT members butts to split the meeting room. (Wess Moore said it)

Hunter is in charge of selling the program to boosters and raising funds for NIL. He has failed at that job horribly. His primary roll he sucks at. He admitted as much when he said our program didn’t have funding to be a winning program. That your job Hunter.

What legitimate candidate wants to work with an idiot like Hunter? Cal is here because if Tyson, not Hunter. I don’t want to work with an idiot who is the laughing stock of the playoff committee. The Miami/Notre Dame stuff, the 6/7 joke, add in the bus crap he did with Muss. He just isn’t a serious leader and nobody wants to work for him.

Silverfield is likely the best Hunter could do. I won’t hare on him. By all accounts he wanted the job bad, and is putting his young career on the line hoping he can rebuild it. He’ll make good money doing it and I’ll respect him for that.

In the end, Hunter Yurachek is the problem and those on the BOT that allow the failure to stay employeed need to wake up or we are done, if we aren’t already.

I didn’t care if we got Golesh or not. I’m just saying it is well known that FedEx has put Memphis in the driver’s seat when it comes to NIL in their conference.

I looked at recruiting rankings. No difference. 0-3 vs him both teams all 3 stars. Memphis was 66th transfer class last year USF 85th, neither got a 5 or 4 star.

Having NIL money doesn't mean you get players. Just like SMU.

He was also Auburn's second choice, Sumrall backed out.

Exactly what needs to happen before real progress and change can begin. Go to the main source and rip it out root and stem.
