Morris will probably become a world beater at UofA because so many fans are against his hire.
Ive heard Gus' glowing recomendation of Morris is what helped seal this deal with PTB.
Gus helped Morris when he was HS coach in TX, got him to Tulsa, went to bat for him w/Dabo and now recommended him for this gig. Morris and Gus seem to be brothers.
Wonder how concerned Gus is about his lil bro being in the same division?

I don't remember ever seeing a melt this fast. We hired John L. "Smile!" Smith with less flak from fans. It's way to early too call this a shitty hire, but the unfortunately it's way to early too call it a homerun. In the meantime, our recruiting news looks positive for the first time in months and until we see some field action your bitching is going to do nothing.

I often wonder if we have the must inept media in all of major college sports.
They've enabled this shittiness over the last 5 years, and even longer in basketball to the point that we're at an all time low in sports

I think of all the coaches that were considered, that we know of, he has the best chance at being a long term fix and maybe highest ceiling with the right DC. This could get us back into Texas DEEPLY in recruiting. And I think his style of play will help attract those speed players we want soooo bad. But I also think he can win with what he have in place. BB didn't leave the cupboard bare and he's being gracious and supportive in his absence. I've even heard that he is encouraging commits to stay assuming the new staff wants them. Thumbs up to Bret so far.

He'll win the west while he's here and at least one SEC championship. He'll be better than Bret or Nutt. I think he can take us back to where Petrino had us, but be able to recruit on that success and build on it.
