Well, if he truly is overrated as a coach, that is the coach Aggy will hire.

Buzz is the lack of a melanin parallelogram of Mike Anderson. Wins a few more games than he loses, but never pastes a W on the really big ones.

Exactly what I posted elsewhere... He's not the coach that gets us back to greatness. If we fired mike and end up with buzz, I'd be mighty disappointed

LOL. WTF. You guys are morons.

Buzz has taken nearly every team he has coached to the Tournament.

He's been a head coach 11 years, going to the NCAAT 8 times and the NIT 1. This at Marquette and VaTech.
I REPEAT: He has been to the tournament as many times in the past 10 years than we have in the past 20.

Buzz is the best realistic candidate we've got.

Umm... Musselman has been to the tournament 75% of the time he has been a coach and wins 76% of his games.

Sampson's team only lost 4 games this year.

We have several good options other than the guy Aggy wants to hire.

Brad Steven's current contract is for 22 million over 6 years.

Arkansas could pay him more money than the Boston Celtics do. But he would have to recruit.

This is the reason why people should stay on hogville.

False.

Beard isn't coming. Donovan isn't coming. Stevens isn't coming

Buzz > Sampson.

Pretty cut and dry, Watson.

Musselman? Never heard of her.

Buzz wins in a real conference that is full of blue bloods where he is outmatched in nearly every way. He's got less money, less facilities, and his recruiting base is smaller. Not to mention he plays second fiddle to the primary school in the state, Virginia.

Buzz > Sampson.

In what way?

Sampson career record: 614-324 (.655)
Williams career record: 253-155 (.620)

Sampson NCAAT: 2 Sweet 16's, 1 Final Four, 1 Elite Eight

Williams NCAAT: 3 Sweet 16's, 1 Elite Eight

Agree. I've never been a fan of him. He'd barely be an improvement over Mike.

No point in engaging with him. He said Sampson wasn't coming earlier.

Ill be surprised if he does. Beard for sure isn't.

Do you know for sure that he is? Link?

Sampson: Head coach for 30 seasons: 15 NCAA appearances (.500)

Buzz: Head coach for 12 seasons: 8 NCAA appearances (.666)

Sampson has been out of the first round 8/15 times. Buzz has been out of the first round 5/8 times.

Its easy to see Buzz has accomplished more in a much shorter career, and arguably at much less powerhouse-type schools.

Accomplished more? Uh no, the guy with a higher winning percentage and an actual final four trip has accomplished more.
