If Morris is 4-20/5-19 and 0-16 in SEC play and we don't fire him then winning doesn't matter to the administration.

FFS, even Miss St and Vandy have hired coaches that can win when they hired Mullen and Franklin. It's ridiculous for Arkansas to settle for this shite and copout worrying about the perception of firing a coach for NOT winning. Looks worse to keep a guy that's in over his head and it's setting us further behind.

He straight up fired Mike Anderson on the spot for walking into his office at the end of last season and saying "we'll be fine" when he asked Mike for an actual plan.

I get mike won a few SEC games but what did he do with all the time he had. I hate to say it, but Chad works harder than Mike did.

I get Mike was "one of us", but sry, my newborn is more aggressive than Mike was. Its terrible when you don't make the NIT or even field of 64. Football takes time and it is proven that longevity is better than rinse and repeat.

Bring on the hate.

That's the BS part about the "nobody will want to come here if we fire a coach after 2 years" argument. It's not just the fans that realize it's not working, local and national media do too. One would assume that includes coaches and their agents.

We have everything a good coach wants and needs to succeed, and other coaches certainly realize that - see what Stoops said last year.

Nobody would blame us one bit if he goes winless in the SEC again.

well, well, now... Damn!

Ya shoot from both hips bud.

Either way, both need/ed to be gone at this point. I am off the Morris wagon and until we beat someone we shouldn't.. An SEC team that we surprise, I will stay off.

If he somehow wins against Miss State, and Mizzou... perhaps. If not, he needs to be shown the door period.

Let's trash the Mike Anderson comparison and the BS political crap that it brings with it.

First off - Mike Anderson was not a bad coach. I'm not even going to use the dumb arse cliche of calling him a mediocre coach. He was a good coach but he wasn't building anything. If he steadily built us to somewhere - dipped a little - but then climbed back then I'd say he deserved more time. But he didn't.

Anderson had ample time here. He lost too many instate recruits. He failed to develop any type of consistency. He wasted Gafford - look at how the NBA is using him = pick and mf'n roll damn it.

The comparison to Anderson and Morris is dumb.

First off Morris is nowhere near as good as Anderson. It's an insult to compare the two. However, Morris has only been here 1.whatever years so this idea that Morris hasn't been fired due to his skin color is f'n idiotic. Morris needs to be fired and fired soon but it has nothing to do with skin color. Same thing when dumbasses compare MA to DVH.

DVH is still here because he gets the state's best recruits. He also get's to at least the sweet 16 (super regional play) and has us in position to be in the CWS if not win it. Not to mention he has elevated us to being considered the #3 program in the nation as of today. If Mike did any of those things.....heck - if he got us to ONE - just one f'n sweet 16 he would still be here today.

Skin color has nothing to do with it.

Seen a ton of people claim that Morris still being hired even though MA was fired is racist. Seriously.

Where? Coonass backwoods AR? I hope people aren't that ignorant to think this has anything to do with Race. Mike sucked and got fired for that. Chad was hired because his resume and what we were willing to pay.

He seemed decently solid until the end of his second 7–6 season. There was no reason we couldn't have beaten Missouri and Virginia Tech.

Win those games and we have 9 wins. I don't think any of us are unhappy with that

Good God Man!

I agree with the quote above.

This has not one damn thing to do with race, except the race to please hire a much better coach!

I think you got your politics in regards to locations mixed up. It's not backwoods Arkansas trying to play the race card. It's the bigger more metro areas in the central part of the state. Wouldn't surprise me to see a Wally article address the issue soon.

Either way - I agree with you and was trying to kill the subject before it got addressed. The only race involved in the MA firing was a race to get to the sweet 16.

Hate to break it to you, but Arkansas is no more racist than any other state. It's just 2019 and people cant get over shite.

I hate to break it to you.....but I agree with you.

Reread my posts. I said that MA wasn't fired due to race. I said that I disagree with the idiots who bring up the race card.

Nolan dealt with some racist shite. Not MA.
