Is all I hear from you people.

I don’t hear about the no adjustments from Odom.
He runs the same bullshite drop 8 defense he stole from Chief. Our defense looks as bad now as it did under Morris.

The difference in expectations is that we’ve literally never had a good defense so expecting one now would seem unrealistic.

The one made me wince was the Nix run there at the end. We knew that they weren't going to throw the ball there but we still dropped a safety back deep and Nix had an easy jog ahead of him.

Our coaching staff was whipped in the second half.

Odom has no depth on DL and shite depth for linebackers as well. All of that takes years to get in football. Football is no quick fix like basketball and even baseball can be.

Briles does suck.

You forget we still have shitty OL leftovers from Chaggy and Bert. Those two motherfrickers have made this a very long term overhaul. Sam is doing what he can in year 2.

Briles didn’t call a bad game. The offensive line just has to win a battle sometimes. We were in their territory all day but every single time they needed a stop and all we needed was 1 or 2 yards we got stuffed. That’s not on the play caller

100% this is on briles. I get the line needs to win battles but it's his job to adapt and scheme ways to ensure they do when we need it.
The other team didn't all the sudden get stronger and faster..... They changed their call to stop us, we need to adapt to that and identify it better.

Also continuing to go shotgun in 4th and short situations is infuriating.

So Briles has depth on OL but Chad and Bert left nothing? Why can we use the excuse Odom has no depth on line but not for Briles as a reason? He just sucks. How about don’t drop 8 when everyone in the stadium knows they are running because they want the clock to move?

Let’s use this on Odom now.

We have no quality depth on the lines on either side of the ball.

Everyone knows what Odom is going to do.

The talking heads talk about how Odom defeated Leach by dropping 8 every week now. Maybe choose a different scheme once for the other games.

It will be year 4 or 5 before Arkansas can seriously compete in the SEC.

The only thing I saw that Briles did all day was a draw every play. Then when we got in the red zone they just put 8 in the box and KJ had to throw and couldn’t do it. That’s not Briles style, so someone had to say we got 3 great backs let’s run it.

When he couldn't adapt in the ole miss game i figured it was gonna be a problem.
But then this week happened....
We've got 3 good line backers, we lose a dl and starting safety. Let's play a 4-2-6? WTF.

Hopefully Sam knows an assistant on Georgia that’s ready/wanting to step up to DC.

It's one of the worst I've seen out of him in a long time.

I started really paying attention to the playcalling at the beginning of the 2nd quarter, and I did not see a single passing play called on 1st down the rest of the game until the last drive. It was to the point that my wife and every single other person in the stadium knew we were running on 1st, every single time.

I don't have the breakdown in front of me but I'd guess that 75% of our runs on first down got stuffed for 2 yards or less, leaving us with 2nd and 8+ yards and then 3rd and long if that obvious passing play failed. Every single series and new set of downs without fail, we were starting on second down and long because it was obvious what the playcall on first was.

That is not setting up your offense for sustained drives or success. That's not even to mention the multiple drive killers where we had a 3rd and 3 situation and decided to call a low percentage passing play 30+ yards downfield, instead of easily picking up the first. I saw KJ have wide open lanes to pick up the first down with his legs on 3rd and short multiple times, only to have him throw an incompletion from the LOS with not a soul in front of him between he and the first down marker.

It was maddening on many, many levels. And that's just the offense's shittastic day, the defense had its own laundry list of glaring issues.

The refs calling some very questionable PIs didn't help, but we looked like warm dog shite by ourselves

Some of what you're describing is definitely on briles.

Some of that is on KJ to realize he needs to just go get 3 yards

It’s pretty obvious that the game plan to beat us is to limit the run game and force Jefferson to win on his arm. He just isn’t getting that done. It’s not all his fault, but he just isn’t consistent enough to pull out tough games. Depending on the players we lose this year, Jefferson may be hard to beat next year. He just isn’t there yet.
