Lunney would be a great hire. I think Bert is pulling on the reigns a little too much at Illinois. At UTSA they were wide open and tough to stop.

The most Arkansas hire to make would fit right here, BLJ

We know Barry loves the helmet

I believe he was offered the TE job, on the original staff.

He might come back for the OC job, I been telling everyone who shits on Briles that’s who we are looking at and most of them are like sounds good, he sure does love this school.

Might as well get Casey Dick.

Bert is a moron who runs one offense, pass only when you absolutely have to offense.

BecAuse the big 10 isn’t as good as the SEC.

You can run antiquated offenses there. And only 1 or 2 schools will put talent you.

So you don't like teams that run the ball?

I don’t like schools that only run the ball.
And when Bielema was here, that’s all he did. He would line up and try to run against Bama and LSU who had more talent and better coaching. Causing us to lose those games. There never seemed to be a threat of throwing until Enos came, and that was only a one year thing.

I'm gonna have to disagree with the one year thing. Outside of BA's first year, we were a threat to throw every year Enos was here.

He ran a beautifully balanced offense.

So far this year we have been a 1/3 pass 2/3 run.

When Saban sent Kiffin to study with Briles down at Baylor, Kiffin was like a 80-90% pass dude. What he learned working with Briles down at Baylor is running from a position of power.

Spread people out the box so they can run.

Fortunately for Ole Miss, looks like he ignored Briles uncanny ability to kill a drive inside the opposing team’s 5 yard line.

The Texas High School prevent offense.

BA was only in Enos’s system for 1 year, 2015.

His progression from 2014 under Chaney to 2015 under Enos was astounding.

Once we finally got rolling, that 2015 offense was one of the best we’ve ever had. Would’ve been incredible to see what that season would’ve been like had Cornelius not gotten hurt early (he did come back though) and Jonathan Williams not been out for the season.

LOL, you dogged me for doing the "what if" with coaches and you just did the same damn thing.

You know Bert would have still found a way to derp that season regardless of injuries.

Is that how Brandon Allen threw for 7400 yards and 64 TD's?

No doubt. It's in his DNA.

Those 2015 and 2016 offenses were nice and balanced, and the play action was great. Both Allen brothers were at the top of the league in passing yards and yards/attempt, plus you had quality running backs in A. Collins (2015) and R. Williams (2016). TEs also played a big role.

However, for whatever reason (Bert), there were so many WTF games during that span, it could drive a person mad.

Wrong poster. I didn’t dog anybody about a “what if” scenario.

Pittman's retirement thread.

Jesus, this is a thread about Pittman's trajectory and somehow people derp it up into yet another Petrino debate.

It's the most Arkansas thing ever for our fans to pine over coaches who never came here (Gus, Tuberville, Kiffin, Self, Jimmy Johnson), or who left for one reason or another (Petrino, Hatfield, Holtz).

All good, just sayin' broskie.

I would have sworn BA got more time with Enos, but I guess that's just more credit to what he was able to do in one offseason with him.

The 17-0 and 31-14 wins against LSU were pretty fun.

I don't really think offense was the problem for the most part under Bielema. The issue was we only had one decent defense the entire time. Austin Allen led the SEC in passing in 2016 IIRC so I wouldn't say all we did was run the ball.
