I don't think Sam will bring Davis back even if Davis wanted to. Him leaving seem to be a pretty big surprise for Pitt.

I would say he is a good recruiter but most of his good recruits are here and LSU and if you can recruit big dudes to LSU when they are born in Louisiana, you definitely aren’t good.
He has a couple 5 stars while there though.

Should have been the head coach here in 06 and 07. That is in an alternate reality if they fired Nutt after the 05 season.

My ideal alternate reality is letting Nutt walk to Nebraska after the’03 season and hiring Spurrier. That was the scenario I was hoping for at the time, I was pissed when Nutt stayed, and I was even more pissed when Spurrier wound up at USCe a year later.

Nutt flirted with Nebraska to get a pay raise and from Arkansas. Also he would never meet the expectations at Nebraska. He knows deep down that he wasn't good enough. But some fans were starting to dislike him as he played Arkansas. It didn't help that the 2003 team was loaded but lost four games. Then he was given a two year pass that previous coaches didn't get. So more fans started showing resentment.

Should have happened after the Vanderbilt game. Losing to Vanderbilt is one thing, but only giving McFadden and Felix 1 carry each is malpractice.

Looking back on the talent nutt waisted from 2000-2008 is heartbreaking. Matt Jones, Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, jamaal Anderson. Chris Houston, Peyton Hillis, Tavaris fricking Jackson, Ahmad carrol just to name a few, and the best he could muster was 9-3. Thats pathetic.
