Damn, a school cut bait without waiting until the end of the season?? The horror!

I bet they will never get a big name coach to take that job bc it is so unstable! They fired a coach who wasn't working out mid season!!

Does anyone remember a year where this many big programs pulled the trigger on their coach mid season?

I think they've been done with Sumlin for a while, but may have realized that we were going to make a move for Morris.

I figured the race card his wife played would have gotten him another year.

They owe him quite a bit of money if I'm not mistaken

He's not getting fired midseason. All of the reports say that he'll be gone once the season is over.

Glad they can have a coach lined up before we even start our search. Outstanding work. Glad we can let fatass ride this season out at our expense

This is over reaction man, you don't know what Is going on behind the scenes. If anything at all. What if, just for craps and giggles, JL and the BOT are working behind the scenes to have a new HC lined up and are waiting until the season is over to can CBB... What if that coach is coaching at present time and it wont matter when CBB is canned other than saving a few million.

But, whatever... Carry one brocephus!

Do we play A&M again this year? If not, fatty won't get another chance to beat A&M.

It's also interesting to note that A&M is firing Sumlin for consistently posting records that our coach has only achieved one time in five years.

All these schools changing coaches may have saved Bert's job

Jeff may decide to wait and see who the other schools hire to see who he wants to hire to counter their hires.

The early signing period is going to change the game in regards to hiring and firing midseason.

In any event, we can strike Chad Morris from the wish list. That's OK though. I wasn't sold on him anyways.

As of this post, Florida is that only P5 school that has done so.

The rest are speculation or hearsay at this point.

Do you have one shred of evidence to support your theory?

If moves are being made and it is a certainty Bert will be fired, we are literally gaining nothing and risking missing out on candidates. As another said, only UF is officially open. What wait and let more jobs open up?

read it again man...
"you don't know what Is going on behind the scenes. If anything at all. What if, just for craps and giggles,"

conjecture like most on here..

honestly, yes... there have been some overtures made behind the scenes by some BOT members to mostly agents to see what interests that there is. This doesn't mean anything will happen, this happens more often that most would believe.

Razorbroncs would agree I believe..

It’s not fair that we are both still stuck with these two coaches

GTFO with that. Not going to stoop to the level of commiserating with an Aggie.

You've beat us 5 years in a row and at least have done something respectable with him.

We've done jack shite and ours is a morbid POS. At least Rumlin looks the part.
