In the past three weeks, driving the streets of Bentonville, I've had THREE - THREE - instances of opposite street drivers swerving over slowly, coming right at me for what would be head on collisions if they'd not swerved back into their lanes at the last second.

Three times in three weeks.

Some of them I'm sure were texting. One this morning however, no way that dipshit was texting. His dufus head was upright with his eyes looking right at me as his car was heading straight for me. Thirty more feet would have been a head on collision.

Then at a four way, just minutes later, an old self absorbed 60 year old Walmart vendor type decided he was just going to follow the car in front of him through the 4 way, because he didn't want to wait. I had him beat by a few feet, and I stopped my truck instantly and stared that that fricking self absorbed POS narcissist fricktard. He had the eyes of a shark. Like the old sailor on "Jaws" said, he had doll's eyes. No remorse for his obvious wrong. No hint of throwing his hands up to indicate he was sorry. He just didn't give a shite. He stared at me like the immoral debauched collection of cells-minus-a-soul that he was and is.

They say sociopaths are 4% of the population. But that makes me wonder about the learned versus born-that-way demographic of being a sociopath. I'm guessing it's learned, so I'm guessing the percentage is higher than 4%.

I realize half of Bentonville are not Arkansas people, who grew up being taught the right way to live and the right way to treat people and the right way to be accountable to even the smallest things in life. That's why customer service in Bentonville is so bad. It's either transplants or it's young people who grew up around other Bentonville kids who come from big money.

Half of Bentonville are non-Arkansans who would feel no empathy if they saw you drive off of a bridge and blow up and die. They would love it actually.

By the way, there's a shitload of political yard signs popping up in the rich sections for Bentonville already - hoping for Democrats in the off year election. I think that has something to do with the apocalypse.

That's my rant for the day.

Said this before, but people up here cannot fricking drive. I feel like I have to avoid disaster or avert a collision nearly caused by some inattentive dumbass on the road on a near weekly basis

I'm not sure if it's a byproduct of the transplant nature of the area, or if everyone is simply too busy and constantly checking/responding to email on their phones while driving.

It's a wide-spread, far reaching phenomenon. I'm a field rep for my company and I drive all over Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana. This happens to me every day. Not just cars. Big trucks, logging trucks, farm equipment, etc. Yesterday, I about got taken out by a washing machine falling off of a trailer going down the highway. People can't drive worth a shite and there are so many idiots on the road it's scary.

I deal with West Memphis and Memphis traffic and I can assure you, they make the folks up in NW Arkansas seem like driving gods. And that is after acknowledging there are some baaaad drivers up there.

A little off topic bit I can't stand when parents wait in the waiting room with kids and the parents will be glued to their phones. While, the kids are misbehaving in the waiting room.

Been hit three times in three years by NWA drivers. One of them was on 75 in Texas by a dude from Bentonville. All had NWA addresses.

They’re not distracted, they’re ignorant. All of them were aiming their cars not driving them and never realizing you have to move your head a little to see what’s going on around you.

Also, don’t get me started about all the left lane losers up here.
