Cal's great flaw is that he relies too much on freshman PGs.
Fla basically won the tournament because they had a vet 'dude' running point for them.
Go get one of those, but he just loves frosh too much.
We'll see. Missing in Ament was huge. But it also fees up a ton of $. Someone said in Discord they believe Thiero and Ament frees up about $7M.

Idk if that really matters or not, you either make the shots or you don't.
UF won with a great player, on the other side Houston's two experienced guards a senior and junior couldn't even get a shot up the final 2 possessions in some of the worst play you'll ever see. Goes both ways.

Problem is, we already missed on a bunch of studs in the portal we could've thrown that cash at. If we're not getting Ament I hope we get Pringle, Ewin and that guard from UNC I guess

To be fair, the portal is still open for new entrants for just under 2 weeks. So if any big names make their way in (hell, maybe Cal knows something), we should have a much more $$$ to throw around than many other top programs. Two of the top 10 overall transfers just entered within the last 2 days.

I have seen a lot of info that says don't believe what the recruiting services are reporting on Ament. We still may not get him but we have a better chance than people realize.

I haven't seen Cal's name thrown around, but I have seen Nate Oats being mentioned quite a bit. That's what I'm rooting for

Saw one Twitter dude with 6k followers say cal being mentioned at Denver and that was it. He woulda gone pro years ago if he ever actually wanted to. Sure that dude saw him shaking LeBrons hand and tried to stir the pot to get some views.
