Ehh. He will be storey if storey had started like 3 years. So whatever you think a less mobile, but slightly better armed storey would look like. I expect like 1000 more passing yards than storey, but an abysmal td to int ratio.

Yes but not by that much imo

Obviously the team is going to have a lot to do with it as well, not sure how our WR corp could get worse.

As long as he can hit the broad side of a barn, unlike Storey and Kelley, we should be fine.

Had a worse completion percentage than Storey last year.

Chaz is slowly getting the pieces in place for more than 2 wins next year.

Sadly, winning our non-conference slate next year will be seen as vast improvement.

Hicks's stats aren't blowing me out of the water either.

But look at it this way: With marginally better QB play, we would have beaten A&M, LSU, and Ole Miss last year and played much more competitively against North Texas (I can't believe I just typed that ).

So you are looking at 5-7 or 6-6 last year with a slightly better QB.

2018 stats

Storey: 57.2%, 6.2 yards/attempt, 11 TDs and 10 INTs

Hicks: 55.9%, 6.9 yards/attempt, 19 TDs and 7 INTs

Didn't include passing yards because Hicks threw over 100 more times than Storey. I'll take the lower completion in exchange for better numbers everywhere else. Storey threw a Int every 25 throws, Hicks threw one every 53 throws.

What were Hicks’ stats when he was actually running Morris’ offense?

That’s what I care more about. Yes he had two NFL receivers to throw to but he still knows that playbook inside and out which is more than any one on the current roster can say.
