Yep, really think he was going to pay off with some of the future recruits in OK. Can't blame someone who wants to be a HC.

Good for him hopefully we can fill the void with another high caliber recruiter

Great sign to have assistants wanting to be HC's and other schools wanting them.

I would imagine Muss has no shortage of interested replacements.

re: Assistant coach Chris Crutchfield leaves
Out of all the Arkansas coaches in all the major sports in the last 20 or so years, I have more faith in Musselman to replace any coach with an as good as or better option. Pittman is right there, too, but he just doesn't have the resume as a HC yet that Muss has.

It's painfully obvious that we have hired coaches for far too long who did not understand or value the recruiting game nearly enough. And now we have two, both in the biggest sports.

Just on this year's talent alone, any good coach would be able to see that you're going to be coaching smei elite-type prospects. That's not something great up and comers want to pass up.

Muss can also sell the hell out of the Arkansas potential and all the top flight recruits interested in the program, plus the unbelievable pipeline for talent that is coming from within the state in tbe next few years.

Hell, just hire Derrian Ford's dad while he's at it, too!

So you're saying that no good non-Arkansan AD HY is a fkn boss then, right?

Fwiw I'm glad we got Hunter and the hires that he's made! #BossHog

When was the last time a school came after one of Mike Anderson's assistant coaches?

I'll wait...

I'm still waiting.

He went to a directional D2 school, that’s not a good sign.
