Gentry Williams and Laterrance Welch are on campus according to Davenport

We need to start getting more 4 star DBs. If we do that we can start competing with bama and Georgia’s of the world. We can’t expect to beat top competition with the complete inability to run man

A Borderline 5* and big time Louisiana 4* would do the trick.
I must say that I'm quite impressed they even got these guys for visits. Let's hope the Hasselwood pledge ribs off on them.

Williams had already taken an official here in June. Maybe we can benefit from OU’s debacle.
Now pulling Welch from LSU would be something just for the melt alone.

Former Oklahoma wide receiver Jadon Haselwood is transferring to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Haselwood announced his decision on Sunday after wrapping up his visit on Sunday.
Haselwood is a native of Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove, where current Arkansas running backs coach Jimmy Smith served as head coach between 2013-18.
The former No. 4 overall prospect in the nation played in 13 games as a true freshman in Norman (Okla.), recording 19 catches for 272 yards and a touchdown while also rushing three times for 14 yards.
As a sophomore in 2020, Haselwood made four receptions for 65 yards in three games played, missing the first six of the season while recovering from an injury. He also missed two other games later in the year.
This season, Haselwood led the Sooners in receptions with 39 for 399 yards and 6 touchdowns, which included a 3-touchdown performance against TCU on October 16.
Haselwood entered the transfer portal on November 29 in the wake of Lincoln Riley’s departure for USC.
"It was a childhood dream of mine to be a Sooner and I'm blessed to have been able to live that out," Haselwood said in a statement on Instagram Monday evening. "After careful consideration, and due to many factors, I've decided that I'll be entering the transfer portal. Thank you to all those who have supported me. I am proud of the growth I've had during my time at Oklahoma and I look forward to building on that next season in a new program."
Haselwood could be viewed as a key target for an Arkansas offense that is likely to lose projected first-rounder Treylon Burks at wide receiver. The Hogs will also lose three more of their top pass catchers from 2021 in Tyson Morris, De’Vion Warren, and tight end Blake Kern.
As a recruit, Hasselwood was a consensus five-star, the No. 4 prospect in the nation, No. 1 among all wide receivers, and No. 1 in the state of Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. 247Sports listed him lower, as the No. 19 overall prospect, No. 1 at wide receiver, but No. 3 in the Peach State.
Haselwood chose the Sooners over Florida State, Georgia and Miami, while also holding offers from Auburn, Clemson, Florida, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Tennessee and several others.

The transfer portal will turn out to be one of the best things in a long time to happen to Arkansas football. It’ll allow us to compete against the Alabama’s of the world much better year in and year out. We can fill depth with experienced players as opposed to forcing green high school players into service.

Not every year. Better to let them develop for better depth as juniors and seniors than go green as freshmen. Arkansas has never had a head coach since joining the SEC that put any emphasis on player development. Maybe Sam can change that.

Mbake was Fonged on Sunday. Didn't see it mentioned.
Pitt and Loggains were visiting Hasz's HS today in Bixby, Okla., today.
22 closing with a bang and 23 shaping up to be really good. Probably the best start to a class I can remember.

Meanwhile A&M is splashing the cash for every 5-star and top 50 player.
These NIL "deals" and money laundering with fake companies like Texas is doing for OL will be a massive problem with no regulation.

It may destroy the sport, but I guess we will see.

There will be such bidding wars for players that backup linemen will be making $1M+/yr at some places and they'll never even play.
Its actually going bto be detrimental in the long run to the players themselves, because they will go to a school with 5 5* players in front of them just for the short term cash.
These "charity" NIL formations are going to be a gamechanger. They are literally public bagman foundations, but I guess we'll see who really cares about football and who doesn't.

Sam is going to be a pain in the arse for Oklahoma. They arrogantly believed they would recruit much better in the SEC but that just opens the door for more SEC teams to compete with Oklahoma in the region.

Jake Blues is doing 'flips' down the aisle.
As for who it is, Welch's IG looks awfully shiny...

I dont believe this view. people said the same about A&M. truth is arkansas already competed with those schools in the area and could offer the SEC over B12. now they cant. has not been good for ark
