It wasn't just our guys. Ole Miss guys everywhere were basically conceding the fact that Beard was gone. Talk of assistants getting ready to leave with him, etc.

I don't think the Beard stuff was bullshite, I just think we have one of the worst AD's in major college sports.

I haven't lived in Arkansas for awhile but I feel delusional. How much do ticket sales offset coach salaries? Is it NIL? Arkansas is tiny compared to the rest of the world, but a miss on Beard?

It seems like a yes man ego trip into desolation, but we're all still in the train cars

what?

It seems like yuracuck thinks he's bigger than what he is. He has no real back up plan and we're in a trainwreck of a coaching search.

Eta: Am I crazy or did HY not go talk about his business live? Why even do that if you don't have a replacement? Is this just about NIL?

If Hunter is afraid of a bidding war, then we won't keep any successful coach more than a couple of seasons. He's just a weak human with no passion to keep winning. He treats successful coaches like the NFL does running backs. Yet he'll keep underperforming like Pitboss and Neighbors because no one wants them.

Gun to my head, my guess it won’t be Tang.

It’ll be a recognized name (big name?) out of left field that nobody expected.

Bill Self is coming home. Sees the writing on the wall with Kansas being in an inferior conference

Muss came out of left field when we hired him

Don’t recall anyone predicting him

Might be wrong but it seemed last search it was Beard and Sampson as the top 2 with Muss being near the top of the next tier.

I will say Trey usually doesn't rush to just throw names out there. Like him or not he's pretty professional in that regard.
I'm inclined to believe him if he says there's another name.

What if..... Cal has had enough blue..... maybe it's him

My guess for real would be Buzz Williams on the "other" big name.

Arkansas athletics are in so much trouble if $6M buyouts are still an issue at all.

After beard and Sampson didn't pan out, everyone wanted Greg Marshall. Seriously go back and read some previous posts about how bad everyone felt Yuracheck got played for hiring Muss instead of Greg Marshall
