It sounds like the expectation is though that Moody, Smith, Tate and Notae are for sure moving on.
Really? Not Vance Jackson too?

Changed it but you caught me already before the edit. I’ve seen some media this morning hypothesize that he’s gone but I see others connected to the program say otherwise.

Seems like JD is in a really good spot to return. Muss has already shown he is ok with JD going hero ball at times because he is a very streaky scorer.
As of right now, Devo and him are going to be the main go to guys next year.

JD is like the nuclear option. A nice weapon to have if it feels like you might get run out the gym because there’s a chance he could go ballistic and drop 40 but if your relying on him night in and night out your gonna drop at least a few games you have no business losing because he’s so selfish. (I’m not calling it aggressive because the shite he does goes way beyond that.)

So how are we feeling about Nick Smith, Kel'el Ware, Derrian Ford and Joseph Pinion?
Pinion has already committed and haven't seen anything that is going to change regarding that
Ware seems to have been trending Tech or Michigan St but the tide may have turned
Smith seems like a lost cause which is a shame
Ford has been trending our way for awhile it feels like

Cannot understand the deal with the these kids.
Schools like Baylor don’t even have a fan base or tradition. Tired of the shady crap.
I heard Smith did tweet recently he hadn’t decided by any means but don’t really think we’re in the mix.

Means nothing if they win a title this year.
Frustrated me to all get out that programs like Baylor are that good though just watching the game last night when there's no reason they should be.

We will probably continue to lose prospects to the likes of Baylor. They have been cheating for a long time and it has finally paid off.

Did I miss something? I know Ford has Baylor at the top of his list but did someone commit to Baylor?
Posted on 3/30/21 at 5:22 pm to rockiee
No but he is probably Baylor bound. We struggle to keep good instate players.

Uh, not the 2020 class
I get we love self loathing at times but this at the time.....yet

Yes last year was rare but when Baylor drops some money bags here and they are masters at it then you can't win at that. They mastered a craft.

So far Muss is 1/1 on securing good classes in the state. This year didn't have much of one.
We will see but just from my limited info, feels like Ford wants to play for the state.

Amber Ramirez back for another season.

It isn't as important as football because of the numbers game. But I'm tired of losing out of our top rated players to other schools. It is what got Mike Anderson fired.

You have a lot of people steering them in those directions. For some it's a parent or dad and others it's a handler that has them jump around from AAU team to AAU team.
In-state recruiting wasn't the one thing that got Mike fired. Mike wouldn't have backup plans of legit talent when he missed and had no desire to get into the impact transfer market while he was here.

That huge. Now just land Sasha and we’d be right back near the top of the SEC again.

So, is Ford now a Baylor lean? I thought we were in decent shape with him.
What I don't understand is why and how so many kids 1.) actually listen to AAU coaches for college decisions when the whole system is obviously corrupted, and 2.), why are in state kids even really looking elsewhere when you have a top 10 program with who basically runs an NBA style program and has shown to develop players for the next level?
Something really doesn't add up. You can say you want to prep for the NBA all you want, but then you want to go to places that don't prepare you for the NBA nearly as much as Muss can.

Probably because they grew up watching a basketball program that has sucked for over 20 years. Then you have the allure of money and any kind of assistance that will get recruits or family members to go to so called school. Baylor has been playing this game for years.

Someone on Hogville posted this about Goforth. They defended their statement later so it seems like they are connected to these folks. Very good news for us, if so.

UA is a slam dunk. She has already told people, including former coaches of hers, that UA is where she wants to go. She just needs to be officially in the transfer portal so that she can talk to Coach Neighbors. I'm expecting that it will all be done before the end of the week.
